| Jack/ Matt Long Appreciation Thread #3: He's the sweetest guy we know.  Thanks to Hillylovesjames for the awesome banner!  .This thread is dedicated to newcomer Matt Long, Jack McCallister on the critically acclaimed Jack & Bobby. On September 12, when the WB debuted Jack & Bobby, we were not only treated to a smart family drama, we were introduced to an incredibly charismatic and talented young actor in Matt Long. More than just a gorgeous fresh face, Matt has already proven to be skilled at both comedy and drama, holding his own with veteran actors like Christine Lahti. As Jack, Matt pulls off a difficult challenge: balancing roles as an adolescent going through high school and acting as a protective older brother/surrogate "parent" for Bobby (and seemingly Grace, sometimes). Thanks to Candace for the thread title! Just as we eagerly follow Jack & Bobby's coming-of-age experiences, we are also excited to see what fate has in store for Matt as he develops as an actor. | I agree. Matt is very talented and humble about it. From the interviews I've seen him do, he's just a regular guy who likes to act. He seems to enjoy playing Jack and boy, does he ever play him well. I'm looking forward to seeing more from him.__________________ icon by cappuccinogirl | |||

| It really shocked me to learn that this was his first role. He plays jack so well.........I can't imagine another person in the role. Although that's true of nearly all the J&b actors. | |||
