Jack & Bobby - J&B Music Appreciation: Good music is just as important as good writing.

The WB does not put much emphasis on the music used on Jack & Bobby, but that doesn't mean it's not important. The beautiful score played under many of the scenes has done well to evoke emotion and I'm glad we have it.

I have always wanted to see a music discussion thread here and it would be fun to create a compilation of the songs heard on the show.

I won't be able to forget Missy singing along to Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me" in Valentino, or Jack bopping to Usher's "My Boo" in Under the Influence. Many of the songs played on the show are not mainstream and it would be cool to share our thoughts on the different artists as well as the effect of the music on the show.

They sure are careful with the songs they pick and they usually do a good job amazing grace... have a little faith in me....

Yeah, yay!

It was cool to notice that Grace wanted to get Bobby into piano because she couldn't and then to later hear that Peter aspired to be a sax player. Not a lot of other music references on the show, but this exchange always comes to mind:

If John was never on this show I maybe would have tuned in for an episode or two just to see Christine, but I would never watch it week to week. I just don't watch much of the WB shows b/c they don't really interest me all the time.

I actually pay more attention to the song now, when I hear it because of it's use on the show. It was really funny that Tom also knew that the Ipod was the surefire sign that Bobby was nursing heartbreak. The song that played in the car scene in EN is also the hottest I've ever heard... I'll have to dig through the past T/G threads to find the name.

It'll be fun figuring out which songs actually get played on the show too.

What was that song Marcus was head bangin' to in the truck?
