Actually, I've been wondering...is it possible that the WB could use Jack and Bobby as a midseason replacement for a new show that may not have had very good ratings in the fall?

That'd be better than nothing, right?

They could but that would make me even more angry, b/c then that would prove that the show they originally had wasn't worth it and should have stuck with J&B.

usually, if a show is canned, then it's canned for good. the only exception that I know of in such a case is the cartoon Family Guy. That was canned and then brought back by popular demand. But, seeing how this show can't win a single online poll, something tells me it's not exactly going to happen. the only way that it may get renewed is if the network wises up about a) the scheduling problem and b) the fact that it splits its viewership between wednesdays and sundays.

Well, if we get a DVD like Greg Berlanti keeps mentioning in interviews, it could possibly be like Family Guy. The incredible sales of the Family Guy DVDs were the biggest reason it was brought back. I'd bet almost every fan of Jack & Bobby would buy a DVD; we're small in numbers but we're also extremely hardcore fans!

Bring on the DVDs!!!! But you know, I doubt that once the show is (possibly) gone that they'd be able to bring it back. The most of the actors will be involved with other projects by then.

So now we wait to hear if a dvd will be coming out. I think it's the least The WB could do for us if they aren't going to keep our show around.

I still want to keep this thread updated on news about the actors and the *crossesfingers* DVD release. Hopefully, we will be able to get info on both soon.

Have a great summer. Please don't forget to stick around the board as much as possible.

John starred in "The Brooke Ellison Story" this past September I think it was or November on A&E. The DVD to the movie is supposed to come out on Tuesday the 24th. It's a good movie and Christopher Reeve directed it before he passed away.

The following article was published a few days after the big announcement in a Montana newspaper: Click here.
Quote:
“Jack and Bobby” is a compelling show, raising complex social issues, but “liberal” it’s not. For better or worse, it carefully plays both sides of issues, like many programs negotiating their place in a divided culture, belying the idea that TV is some bastion of leftist thought.
The WB is going to regret this in the fall. Can you say Emmy? One can only hope, right?

"Jack & Bobby" episodes on TV Land!

J&B Alert!!!!!! I just did a search on the TV Now site to see what shows John will be appearing in next month, and it says that the "Jack & Bobby" pilot will be shown on the TV Land channel on Sat., June 11!!!!!

OMG, I can't believe that TV Land will be airing episodes of "J&B"!!!!

Here's the link (scroll down to where it says "Jack & Bobby" -- it's in alphabetical order): http://www.tv-now.com/stars/johnslat.html
