What do you think happened between the scenes and episodes. The things they couldn't or wouldn't show on tv.

For example.... Were Katie/Jack having sex? What did she whisper into his ear that one time? All questions I would love to have known.

Oh yeah, definitely. I love this! I would have loved to see at least one time that Grace was over at Tom's on Sundays, like Bobby mentioned in A Child of God. That must have been so cute!

I also wanted to see more school scenes. School has a huge impact on a person's life. It would have been nice to see them go through that. Besides....school gossip also makes nice drama.

I wondered if Marcus and Courtney were ever all over each other with kissing and stuff. Everything seemed really platonic with them, and it was surprising to me when Jack said that Courtney was "with Marcus now" Why was Jack the only guy to get any love?

I'm sure Marcus got some love but they never showed it. Another thing they could have focused more on. He really seemed more like a ladies man then Jack.

I agree that Marcus most likely hooked up off screen, considering the list he ran off for Jack in Running Scared. I thought it was so cute how nervous he was to ask Courtney to the spring dance, and may have been an indicator of how much he cared about her. I wish we had seen this ladies man in action though.

Another blank that definitely needs filling is the issue of Courtney's mental health. It was mentioned in the future and I thought that her mother's suicide might have been the start of it, yet there was never anything really going on with Courtney for us to know what she was really feeling. Character development for her was lacking in general anyway.

So many blanks for Marcus, Peter and Courtney. I think if we had gotten a season two the writers would have found a way to work in the second group of lead actors.

The biggest blank of all was Chloe..... was she even there or was I just seeing something?

Chloe could have been explored so much or at all.

Which would have lead us to more depth into Courtney as a character as well. I can see Chloe just crying over her mother one night because of class project. Courtney sees her and they share a great sister moment.

Yeah I wanted to see more interaction b/c Peter and his daughters. Plus Chloe didn't know the real reason that her mom died. Remember they never told her that her mother killed herself so if she ever found out, that would have been real interesting.

^ Chloe not knowing the true cause of her mother's death would definitely make for an interesting story for the Benedict clan. It's a shame that things got so rushed near the end that the other essential stories got put on the backburner.

I would have also loved to see how else Marcus's relationship with his dad affected his social life. Marcus seemed to really look up to his dad and hated to disappoint him, which is something he probably did rarely... I still crack up at the thought of Marcus getting the better of his parents by having a party without them ever finding out (TKOS, I think).

Dude, I need this DVD.

It makes me sad to think of all the potential storylines that they could have used and now they won't get to.
