Aww, this episode is like Querida Grace for me b/c I missed that one. I want to be able to watch them all again b/c I'm forgetting some stuff that happened in the ones that I actually saw. :(

Yeah, I don't remember much, either. :blank:

There should just be a rule or something normal that if a show ends, just make a dvd of it and be done with it. Really it's not that hard. Some shows release a dvd just a year after the last season.
|
Yeah. It's been like, over two years? The third season could be starting this fall. :pout:

I've been checking the Netflix Web site, because they've had a "Jack & Bobby Season 1" DVD listed there for a long time:
Jack & Bobby: Season 1 (2004) In modern-day Hart, Missouri, history's being written as two brothers with names already tinged with greatness, Jack (Matthew Long) and Bobby (Logan Lerman), navigate the complexities of growing older under the watchful gaze of their brilliant mother (Christine Lahti) in this hit WB series. The boys live up to their namesakes, with Jack as the charming, self-assured big brother and Bobby the smart but slightly troubled younger sibling. Starring: Christine Lahti, Matt Long ... Director: Peter Markle ... Genre: Television Not rated. This movie has not been rated by the MPAA. But now they added this to the description: This movie has not been released on DVD. Future availability is not guaranteed. Meryl |
Thanks for the update Meryl! :)
That sucks though!! They should guarantee us a dvd!!!!! :( |
Yeah, and what's really strange about it is that when I called Netflix about it, they said that since the info is on their Web site, that means the DVD has been produced -- otherwise they would not have been given the information for their site.
So if the DVD is done, why aren't they (Warner Home Video or whichever studio produced it) releasing it? Meryl |
Who knows? :pout: I just don't think it's fair that other shows that are more popular get to have dvds out immediately after a season has been completed.

Yeah I know it makes sense. J&B only had one season so we should at least get a dvd. The stupid network didn't even give the show a chance. They owe us! ;)
|
I think they gave it a chance by extending it to a full season. 'Cause it only started out with getting 13 episodes.
|
Well whatever, it's over and done with. ;) I was just saying determining a show's success with only one season won't predict whether it will survive or not in later seasons. Many shows that start out weak gain stronger audiences as time goes on. J&B was a smart show and b/c they put it up against Desperate Housewives, they called it a failure. Well DUH! ;) DH is a powerhouse so obviously not that many people are going to watch a show on The WB when DH or Grey's is on, or even American Idol (which I never watch).
It's just as well though b/c if the show hadn't been canceled, John wouldn't have been on Broadway in Rabbit Hole and I wouldn't have gotten to meet him. ;) |
Hey, that's a really good point, Shelly! Your "Date With Destiny" couldn't have happened (yet, anyway! ;) ) if John was still on the show.
Think of all the photos we wouldn't have been able to drool over if that day hadn't happened! Meryl |
I wouldn't be able to use my avi! :pout:
;) |
 Nice point, Shelly.
