Regarding the film's premise, Ben Affleck asked director Michael Bay, "Wouldn't it be easier for NASA to train astronauts how to drill rather than training drillers to be astronauts?" Bay told Affleck to shut up.

I remember this line and I loved it!! It was like Grace was all the guys daughter. I wonder why Liv turned down the role? Maybe she thought the plot was a bit far fetched like Ben did.

aww...I this movie!! I thought Liv did great in this movie. She had great chemistry with Bruce & Ben and the rest of the cast. I thought she was kinda like all the guys' daughter too. Wasn't one of the lines in the movie something like, "We all helped raise her, Harry." I think it was like they were all a whole big family.

I use to watch this movie like every single night before I went to sleep. And I have yet to get tired of it.
