There's a close-up of two characters holding hands, but you can't see the characters. IT'S ZIG AND MAYA. The boy is wearing a green sweatshirt (shown to be Zig at the end of the promo) and the girl's hand is unmistakably Maya's (nailpolish, guitar ring). THEY ARE NOT OVER!!!!!

Hmm, so I checked the promo and it seems that you could be right. The person in the green sweatshirt was Zig at the end (could be someone else but all things considered it's probably him), at the person Zig was holding hands with had the same nail polish as Maya did in some of her other scenes.

However, they could have also come to the realization that they may not work (yet, or ever), and it was just a comforting gesture before parting ways? I mean I totally want to believe they'll be together, but just playing devil's advocate ^^

That's an interesting theory! I didn't even think of that. But I have reason to believe that whatever happens will actually be very good for our ship.

So, we know it's definitely Maya's hand because of the guitar ring, which she wears in almost every episode.



Zig wears that green hoodie all the time, too.

Upon further investigation it appears that these two clips are from the same scene:





Do you see that blurry figure way behind Zig in the background?



That's totally Maya!

Which means that the handholding moment happened right there outside the school. OMG how CUTE is that! And look how happy Zig is! I doubt they were saying their goodbyes.

But if your theory is correct, I wouldn't mind because I love angst and I'm so thrilled we're getting any Zaya before the end of the season! I truly thought they would be put on the backburner until season 13. You know with all of Maya's "I love Cam!" and "Nothing can happen between us!" proclamations. I guess she's not such a great liar after all.

One thing I've noticed is that, for me, anyway, the niners are very shippable. Like, I really liked Zig/Tori and I also really like Cam/Maya, but there's something about Zig/Maya that's always had me intrigued as well. I dunno, I think it's because I like them all so much that I wouldn't be opposed to anyone dating anyone, really.

But yeah, sign me up for this. Zig and Maya are adorable and I definitely am looking forward to them (probably) getting together in 12C :3

This thread is so cute!

Looking at the pictures from the beauty pageant ep I realized that Zig might have related to Maya's issues with not fitting in with Tori's world, something that he has struggled with. It's hard to realize who you are and where you fit in. I think they both could feel safe with each other and just let the other be themselves. I like that quite a bit.
