Remember Arlene Takahashi, Hunter's crush in season 14?
They seemed to have plans to have her in season 15/Next Class season 1 which were reworked into Yael. At that point Next Class was under the title New Generation
(also of note, at this point they had Goldi written but not cast yet)

Kinda makes sense considering in season 1 of Next Class Yael is introduced like if she's been friends with Hunter for a while yet we've never seen her before.

That does make sense. I liked Arlene. I would have liked to seen more from her, although Yael was a strong character as well. Deyvn Nekoda, who played Arlene, left the show after securing the lead on the Family Channel series Backstage, which aired on Disney in the states.

It is interesting how Yael and Arlene were and what they both brought out in the character of Hunter. I say character because obviously Yael didn't cause his mental illness but I don't know if they would have went that strong in a direction with Arlene as his love interest. Hunter had his outbursts back in the day with Arlene but he was more shy back then. Next Class Hunter was in your face.

Anyway. This gal. Bless her and her lists.
