Welcome to the 60th Toby Isaacs & Manny Santos Appreciation Thread!

Decorating lockers, or meeting at lockers, we love them. For six years, Toby Isaacs and Manny Santos have been great friends-- wise counselors, shoulders to lean on, understanding. Well, we believe it's time for something more and that these two ultimately deserve each other. Our Locker Buddies, whether friends or lovers, deserve a shot, even though it is a long shot. The cheerleader and the gamer geek defy social circles because they truly care for one another, and we hope romance is in store for them.

What is your favorite Spepper moment?

As mentioned earlier, it's when she comforted Toby after the school shooting. The empathy she showed for him during that time characterizes why I love the Fab Four so much. No matter how much they may have drifted apart over the years, you know that when they need them most, they'll be there for them. It may take a little while, and some convincing from another Fab Four member, but ultimately, they are there for them in the end. That type of bond is something we all look for from friends, and even family. It's not something all of us are able to realize, though. --JustMe2000

My favorite Spepper moment is when Manny comforts Toby when he's worried about Rick's visitation. When his best friend couldn't step up, she stuck up for Toby and attended the visitation with him, despite not really being involved in the shooting storyline. She was truly loyal, and it's probably one of the best thing Manny's done on the show. --Mayberry

My favorite moment would have to be manny comforting toby after rick died, it was just really sweet that she was there for him when his other friends weren't. --xxCrashIntoMexx

Manny going to Rick's visitation with Toby AND sticking up for him against JT in the same episode. It was really sweet, because while he own best friend wouldn't talk to him, SHE was there.She didn't judge him for being Rick's friend, and was there by his side when he most needed it. --lalatina15

Why do you like Spepper friendship?

Again, it goes back to the core element of the Fab Four, but in this specific pairing, perhaps because on the show they are so often the side kick in their main best friend relationship, there's an underdog quality to these two that makes it so easy to latch onto them. --JustMe2000

I like Spepper friendship because the two understand one another, or make it a point to understand the other. Toby is open to and respects Manny's opinions, and Manny appreciates that Toby's sweet and caring. Also, it's nice to have a fellow romantic around. --Mayberry

Why do you think they deserve a shot at romance?

I think they deserve a shot at romance, because they've both been disappointed with prior relationships, and Manny hasn't always been treated well by other guys. I believe Toby would do that for her, and Manny would put in the effort to make the relationship work since she's done it in the past. Plus they're adorable together. --Mayberry

I'll see it eventually, but to be honest, I thought the first one, while good, was overrated. So I'm not going to buy into this is the best thing since sliced bread hype with this one either. I do want to see it, but it just may be a few weeks down the road.

I don't buy into hype until after I see it. But I am more excited to see a well-reviewed movie, unless it's a movie I want to see regardless of the reviews. Plus it's got Christian Bale.

So I was watching The Secret Life of the American Bastard and one of the local gas stations on the show was giving away a box of tampons with every full tank of gas purchased. Not only do I know this because the sister of the lead character came in with a box after going to the gas station with her mother, the lead's two friends actually made one of their brothers go to the gas station so they could take advantage of the deal.

Oh and Christian Bale is in The Dark Knight? I hadn't heard.......

Oh, Christy, you're a Balehead, too? That's why I had Manny give Toby the plasma ball in that one chapter. The Prestige starred Bale and Hugh Jackman.

I don't watch much TV anymore, primarily during the summer. But I've read some upcoming fall show descriptions and I may get hooked on a couple.

Are any of you Twilight fans? I just finished reading Entertainment Weekly and this is one fandom I'm completely out of the know about. I know it involves vampires and that's it.

I'm watcing The Middleman, Swingtown, Weeds, and the aforementioned Secret Life....

I'm just starting up with Mad Men, but I've only seen one episode so far. And I need to catch up a little bit with Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

I tried checking out the first book in that Twilight thing, but they didn't have it. I'm too cheap and lazy to do anything else about it, so that's that.
