Welcome to the 62nd Toby Isaacs & Manny Santos Appreciation Thread!

Decorating lockers, or meeting at lockers, we love them. For six years, Toby Isaacs and Manny Santos have been great friends-- wise counselors, shoulders to lean on, understanding. Well, we believe it's time for something more and that these two ultimately deserve each other. Our Locker Buddies, whether friends or lovers, deserve a shot, even though it is a long shot. The cheerleader and the gamer geek defy social circles because they truly care for one another, and we hope romance is in store for them.

What is your favorite Spepper moment?

As mentioned earlier, it's when she comforted Toby after the school shooting. The empathy she showed for him during that time characterizes why I love the Fab Four so much. No matter how much they may have drifted apart over the years, you know that when they need them most, they'll be there for them. It may take a little while, and some convincing from another Fab Four member, but ultimately, they are there for them in the end. That type of bond is something we all look for from friends, and even family. It's not something all of us are able to realize, though. --JustMe2000

My favorite Spepper moment is when Manny comforts Toby when he's worried about Rick's visitation. When his best friend couldn't step up, she stuck up for Toby and attended the visitation with him, despite not really being involved in the shooting storyline. She was truly loyal, and it's probably one of the best thing Manny's done on the show. --Mayberry

My favorite moment would have to be manny comforting toby after rick died, it was just really sweet that she was there for him when his other friends weren't. --xxCrashIntoMexx

Manny going to Rick's visitation with Toby AND sticking up for him against JT in the same episode. It was really sweet, because while he own best friend wouldn't talk to him, SHE was there.She didn't judge him for being Rick's friend, and was there by his side when he most needed it. --lalatina15

Why do you like Spepper friendship?

Again, it goes back to the core element of the Fab Four, but in this specific pairing, perhaps because on the show they are so often the side kick in their main best friend relationship, there's an underdog quality to these two that makes it so easy to latch onto them. --JustMe2000

I like Spepper friendship because the two understand one another, or make it a point to understand the other. Toby is open to and respects Manny's opinions, and Manny appreciates that Toby's sweet and caring. Also, it's nice to have a fellow romantic around. --Mayberry

Why do you think they deserve a shot at romance?

I think they deserve a shot at romance, because they've both been disappointed with prior relationships, and Manny hasn't always been treated well by other guys. I believe Toby would do that for her, and Manny would put in the effort to make the relationship work since she's done it in the past. Plus they're adorable together. --Mayberry

YAY for 62!

But yes, Exercise Science is about the science of motion in our bodies, sports history and physical education. I don't know what possessed me to take it,

I guess I could ask the teacher if I could do something else instead of the running tests...but it's sorta part of the curriculum.

Ohhh. Physiology/anatomy was one of my fave courses in high school.

I also took running sophomore year in college. It wasn't fun because the teacher didn't like half the class. Not all of us are natural born runners okay?

Can you get the tests over and done with sooner?

Then again, that's a university description you have there...I'm in high school.

Yeah, we're doing all the tests like now. There's no use in complaining, but it's SUCH a pain.

Have you heard of the Beep test? Bane of my existence. We do that Monday. BTW, I like anatomy/physiology and all of that, just not activity...

No, I've never heard of the Beep Test. It sounds like a test on video games/TV shows.

The beep test isn't nearly as amusing as you made it seem, haha. Basically, there are two lines, about 10-20 m apart (I forget), and you have to run from one line to the other before the beep goes. Seems simple. Problem is, it's continuous and the beeps get faster and faster. The longer you go, the more fit you are, apparently. For girls, 5 minutes is about average (which is what I got in grade nine, last time I did this thing). Some guys I know have gotten 14...

it is sort of ridiculous.

Oh wow. I think I remember that test. Yeah, that doesn't sound like fun, unless you're really into it. The activity that bothered me was the rope thing. I've always been thin, but I have really weak upper body strength. So I could only get halfway on that stupid rope.

They should do some of these tests on Degrassi! Toby and Manny could time each other.

Well, I guess I've had a change of heart about the fic. I figure if I've brought the loyal readers up to 50 chapters, I shouldn't abandon them, no matter the amount of reviews.

So I'll probably update after my birthday. Besides, the writers barely use Toby. Someone should write a story for him!

You know which gym class activity I secretly adored? Square dancing.

I'm no country music fan, but it was actually pretty fun. Then again, I was in marching band and the dances were goofier.

I never had to climb a rope either. And yeah, that test is not too fun...I revived myself by inhaling hand sanitizer fumes. Don't ask how that works...I was sort of half-dead afterwards.

I am so ridiculously happy that you're deciding to continue!! But, you shouldn't continue because you feel obligated to your readers; I hope you're continuing because you want to.

And yes, someone needs to write about Toby, if not the Degrassi writers.
