Remember when they dated briefly? I don't think I've ever given it too much thought because obviously it didn't hurt their friendship in the long run but I felt bad for both of them at that point, especially Ellie. I was sad for her when Ashley told her they were perfect for each other, but that turned out to be true just not in the way she was hoping.

My first thoughts when I think about their dating relationship is how miserable she was, especially during that little commercial project they were doing at the end of Season 2. But, you're right about Marco too as he had to be just as miserable. That early period in their relationship gets lost when compared to what they became.

Yeah to me at least their dating relationship seemed longer than it really was, but that's probably because she plays along as his girlfriend for their friends in season 3 for a bit.

That beach trip was incredibly awkward, not just for what was going on during the show, but it was also apparently freezing when they filmed it.

I was really laughing at that scene because superficially seen it was just so absurd. But I really would have liked it, if they´d explored it instead of just making it the reason to stop being roommates. That didn´t really make sense.
But Marco dating that guy he obviously wasn´t into, as if he were the only gay guy around, didn´t make sense either.

Remember their unisex cologne commercial? I think I preferred Marco's but liked how Ellie's frustration with their relationship and lack of addressing it was coming out in their project. Did we ever see what they decided on?
