Thanks for the new thread, Claire. Holly J and Declan are a couple that I cannot help but root for and I think Fiona, ever the romantic will have fun playing matchmacker and getting them back together eventually.

I think that at least part of the shock that we may be seeing from Holly J in the promo goes back to the the idea in her head that Declan may be better off with a rich girl. I think that it may surprise Holly J a bit that Declan still wants her. I also think that it would be a lot easier to let Holly J and Declan go to Yale than to have Holly J on standby in Canada just to appear in a few episodes while the younger kids all get the major storylines. To continue to have her around after she graduates from Degrassi to me would be out-of-character for her and a real disservice to her as well as if her current storyline and relationship weren't already out-of character enough and a real disservice to her. As an example, Peter is hardly there now but, he's still on the show and I don't want something similar to that happening to Holly J and it highly suggests to me that the writers and the powers that be aren't going to follow the kids in their lives again post Degrassi.
