There are people who are like that. But I'm thinking he got more from the actual experience of being with Riley, which is probably how he became infatuated with him, though I'm sure something happened at that camp. Sexy thought....What if Peter touches Riley as a way to subconciously open up the idea of Riley being touched by men? I was thinking about it, like what if the reason he caressed his shoulder in Bad Medicine is to try to make him more comfortable with men touching him?

is it just me or is riley kinda stupid? the way he seems in beat it makes me think that they kinda just make him stupider for some reason

Honestly, I doubt that's what he was trying to do. But who knows, maybe you're right?

Omg! I'm not alone! Yeah, I thought he was kinda stupid, too. I mean, the whole, "STEROIDS MAKE ME STRAIGHT DURR DUH HURR" thing is what did it for me. I've seen Beat It on Zshare, and he did act stupid in that, but he was desperate both times, so he sorta had an excuse, but it was still stupid nonetheless. But he's got to be smart enough to at least be able to pass his classes. Although, according to the Degrassi wiki, in Bad Medicine, it said that he attended summer school three years before the start of season 8. So, either he really is less than average in book smarts, or he was just lazy with his grades. I'm thinking the latter. But at least he fits the "jock" profile better that way. Although, I really, REALLY wish he were smart. Stupidity is not sexy, intelligence is. But there's very little to suggest he's smart, and his behavior has pretty much shown that he's stupid.

Yeah he would definitely be a good first boyfriend for Riley. Someone who knows what it is like to deal with the confusion of being gay. And they would be so cute together.

I really, really hope that Riley gets a good boyfriend (like the lifeguard... Or Peter) this season before he becomes a backseat character once he goes off to college.

His episodes clearly demonstrated the fact that he is love deprived, probably more so than any other character right now. He needs someone to touch and kiss and love him and be there for him. Sam (the lifeguard) seems like the perfect man for the job.

I saw the new episode. I felt so sorry for poor Riley when he was trying so hard to prove to himself that he's straight. It was an "aaw" moment. But I have to admit, he was kinda being a jerk about it. Like sexually assaulting girls, and calling Fiona an ice queen. He was also really stupid for the same reasons, but he was desperate, so he had an sort of excuse. Also, I forgot about this at first, but there was this one part when Riley sounded really cute and whiny. When Fiona's rejecting Riley in his room, he goes like, "But I thought you liked me!" It was said in a really nasally and whiny way. But b/c it's coming from him, it was absolutely ADORABLE.
I was really excited for his shirtless shots. I had a brief fangirl moment when I saw him shirtless. But, then I was dissapointed. He still had some muscle, as you can see with his arms bulging in certain parts, and he had some definition, but I thought he would be really toned and built. Oh well, he was still really sexy to me. From what I saw, he DID still have a nice ass. Also, when he's kssing Fiona, and she pushes him away, and says, "What are you doing?!", his facial expression so sad, yet so adorable.

I wholeheartedly agree. Sam would make SUCH a great boyfriend. He already seems like such a great guy. Riley has an obvious interest in him, and based on what happens in Beat It pt.2, he would be great for Riley, cause he'd be able to control Riley when he's being an ass. As if THAT weren't enough, I think they would definitely be the hottest couple in Degrassi history. And I agree about him seeming that he's loved-starved. I think that says a lot about his parents, who I'm really hoping we'll get to see. Someone said this earlier, but I bet Riley's dad would be really judgemental.

The new episode was so good. Riley's emo'ing was so cute. I liked Argiris's acting. The emotional scenes were okay, but he plays angry and drunk really well. It was funny when Riley grimaced when he was drinking Vodka. I doubt he's ever done it before. And he seems like such a fun drunk. And Riley getting beat up was nothing like I thought it would be. He was drunk, so he couldn't exactly defend himself, and he was asking for it.

I want him and Sam together so badly. I get the feeling that even if Riley had been sober, Sam still could've beat him. It would be healthy for Riley to have someone who can tell him no.

Yeah I kind of flip flop between feeling sorry for Riley and wondering what in the world is going through this guy's head. It seems like for the most part when he's around girls he's putting on an act of how he thinks other men would treat women. I mean even aside from talking about what he'd find attractive in one and just trying to be one of the guys. I still really think at some point ideas have to have been put in his head. I'm wondering how his father treats his mother at home. I still really really wish we'd get some insight into that.

Agree with you guys that Riley and Sam would make an awesome couple. I hope Sam is still around for Riley, even if it's just as a sounding board.
