I was waiting for someone to pick up on the whole John Travolta thing. If these guys were still doing comedic minis (and they should be), having a Saturday Night Fever,/Grease/Welcome Back Kotter take off should be near the top of their lost before they lose Ricardo. Even if 90 % of the audience may not know what any of that stuff is.

I'm still a little bitter that the musical Zig starred in back in season 14 wasn't Grease. The resemblance is uncanny sometimes. His main love interest conveniently looks like Sandy and her actress has the same first name as Olivia Newton-John. It's fate. :p

I feel like Zoe could be Rizzo as well.

we really could remake grease with this cast though, I'm bored so here is my casting:

Olivia-Sandy
Ricardo- Danny
Ana-Rizzo
Eric- Kenickie maybe Richard though but Eric has good chemistry with Ricardo and Ana
Richard as Doody
Andre as Sonny LaTierri
Ehren as Roger "Putzie"
Amanda as Frenchy (COME ON THE PINK HAIR TOO BYE)
Chelsea as Jan
Sara as Marty Maraschino

some of these were hard like Putzie, Sonny and Jan because I can't really see anyone from degassi playing them but I tried lol

I approve of basically all these choices. Although we could have had Grace as Kenickie, technically, because Gracevas, but the writers had other plans.

I approve of all the mentions of various casting. BTW, since we're on the whole Travolta thing- Tiny and Zig as Jules and Vincent in Pulp Fiction. Make it happen, mini writers.

I've never seen Pulp Fiction, but I know they physically resemble them, so I suppose it would work. Besides, Ricardo and Richard both have great comedic timing. It's like these two were born to star in Degrassi minis.

So, basically, what this whole conversation has accomplished is made me realize how much I miss the comedic minis, and how I wish they were still doing them.

Oh and absolutely, the whole Rubber Room crew, but Zig and Tiny in particular, were made for those minis.

I don't see why they can't still do the minis. I have no clue what Netflix only shows do, but I doubt it would be a big deal. Maybe I'm expecting too much since they've gone out of their way to improve to show by quite a bit. Still, the DTV videos are lame compared to the minis.

I now need to see Tiny and Zig talk about a royale with cheese.

I hate the DTV videos, I get what they're trying to do and be informative and start conversations but I thought the champagne supernova mini was more entertaining.
