Hey there everyone! As we all know, Degrassi tries to name every episode after an 80's song. There are a lot that haven't been used or covered so I was hoping that some of you would be interested in sharing some songs that you wish they would use. Also, if they used said song, what would the episode be about? Nothing too long, but something short, sweet, simple, and to the point.

One I was thinking of was "Heaven is a Place on Earth", can't remember who sang it though, would be a great ep title if JT?Liberty were to hook up on it.

I'm kinda surprised they haven't used this song yet, I wonder what are they waiting for?

Prolly another one with some of the Degrassi girls chillin. Ellie seems like she would need to be in that one.

Break up ep? Maybe Manny dumping JT. =D

"Sweet Dreams" by The Eurythmics -
I don't know what the premise of the show would be, but it's already such a cool song so why not?

"The Winner Takes It All" by Abba -
This would've been perfect with the whole Manny/Craig/Ashley fiasco. Maybe if they have another love triangle maybe it would be cool o use.

I like the Sweet Dreams and Tainted Love. Express Yourself could be another, I could see something Emma-related with that. If You Leave, too, just because I love that song.

Wow Mayberry, I was thinkng every exact thing you listed, even though I hadn't listed it down, but I had previously thought of that same Michael Jackson song for Liberty/JT as well. Sweet Dreams would make an awesome title...just wish I could think of a premise....

ITA about the Express Yourself episode idea. That would totally rock my socks off, as would an episode called Tainted Love.

I was wondering, but did anyone think that the episode named after the Rick Ashley song "Never Gonna Give You Up?" was kinda messed up? I mean I know the song already sounds kinda stalkerish and then to name it after that. I'm surprised they didn't choose The Police song, "Every Breath You Take ."

Oh man wouldn't it be really funny if they named one episode "Like A Virgin" or "99 Red Balloons"? I know for certain that they'l prolly never use "I Want Your Sex" by George Micheal.

JibertyManiac, "Never Gonna Give You Up" confused me too. "Every Breath You Take' fits better.

I love "Sweet Dreams", but I can't think of anybody or any plot for that.

about Michael Jackson. I really like how in the song, it says "I'm in ecstasy" and J.T. thought he'd done ecstasy.

I think King of Rock by Run DMC would be good if they do another episode about Craig and Downtown Sasquatch, since they won the battle of the bands.

I also thought about Let's Go Crazy by Prince (even though they've used a couple of his already). It could just be an episode about various characters on a wild Friday night.

Those are both good, darkstorm. I like it when the characters are having fun, like in Take On Me. Nothing too serious went down.

Plus Prince is an icon of the 80's. It makes sense to have another title from a Prince song.

They need to do some Madonna. "Material Girl" would be great for a shoplifting ep.

Lets Go Crazy and Tainted Love would be great titles!

Madonna's "Material Girl" would be the perfect title to go for an episode with Paige and Spinner. Remember, he's not that rich, but always wants to get the best for Paige. And Paige seems to be very much into material things, but in the end, she just loves him for him and money doesn't matter. Which was actually the theme of the video, if I remember correctly.

I think Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Great White would be perfect for an episode dealing with Manny and J.T., maybe they've been dating for awhile and J.T. wants things to get a little more serious between them. But, after everything that happened with Craig, Manny is VERY reluctant to put herself in that same situation again.
