The Nina, the Vanessa and the dog movie.

I saw Nina in two movies this week, Flatliners and the latest XXX Xander Cage movie with Vin Diesel. Both were about as good (or not) as you would expect. I can't help wonder given how much of a Degrassi fan Ellen Page is, if she and Nina talked about the show at all while they were shooting Flatliners?

Although I only saw a few ep of vampire diaries , I have seen her in a few movies . Always glad to see a Degrassi alumni have big success

But she got her start on @degrassi as Mia, the teen Mom cheerleader who was dating JT when he was stabbed to death. Mia eventually went to France to become a model, around the same time Nina became a Vampire (we spent some time lavishing praise on her former Diaries costar @christophrwood). @jaymewes is a massive fan of #vampirediaries so he was geeking out being in the same gymnasium with an Original. Happy to report Nina is very cool and reps Canada and the Kids of Degrassi well. But watch your jugular around her.

I've always loved how close Nina seems to be with her former costars. She even did a shout out to AJ of all people in one of her IG stories over the last couple days.

She cleans up nice for the red carpet.

I think I've said this before but I think both the close friendships we see with groups of former cast members and the willingness that even their biggest stars like Aubrey and Nina have in revisiting that past with their former costars is a testament to the atmosphere that Linda and Stephen have fostered on that set over the years. In a lot of ways they deserve as much credit for that as they do anything else.

And with all that said, Nina came through with the pics today (or yesterday) on her IG account.
