Well, I'm glad you started this one too.

As I mentioned in another thread, I don't know if I'm in that "I hope they have this epic high school romance" mode with these too, but I sure enjoy their scenes together and I find this relationship far more tolerable than either Miles/Maya or Miles/Tristan. On that basis alone, you can add me to the list.

If their behaviour wasn´t triggered by pills they´d be a really funny couple. But I don´t see any love between them. Just dependency.
But it would be nice if they´d made Zaya more like two goofballs in love (in a way they did at least with a few sweet scenes in NC) instead of relationship drama. With how Esme/Miles are liked for the fun ride I´d think a non-toxic couple like this would be welcome between all the drama.

I don't ship them romantically but I think they could make good friends like Eli/Imogen did once Esme gets the help she needs.

Miles and Esme would have loved to be me (if I wasn't ripped open and felt like I was dying). I had a push button that shot Dilaudid via an IV that was threaded basically to my heart. Bam! I honestly can't say I felt anything emotionally other than huh. On Oxy now and still huh. How were those kids breathing? Ugh the nightmares that stuff gives me.

Pill Poppers, The not so happy couple on happy pills...this probably doesn't work for a shipper name. But I'm on drugs so.

I kinda feel guilty for liking these two. I know they aren't healthy. I'm a recovered alcoholic and there's a part of me that thinks I should have a "no" attitude towards everything drug/alcohol abuse. But I still have this attraction towards certain couples or characters. Then I'm like, well it is TV. It isn't like it reflect my values. Sometimes I feel like fans get all caught up in this is right or wrong to ship a couple and use it to shame other fans. Do you really want your couple happy all the time? I don't. I need drama. Needed to get that out.

And I don't think Miles will be able to walk away from Esme knowing she needs help. Might not be good for him but I like how much he is trying to help in Next Class (like with Hunter).

Well good or bad, narrative wise they are entertaining. I wouldn't say I ship them but I enjoyed their screen time and the story is interesting.

Someone on tumblr actually had a cool theory, they were saying how Esme asked Miles to run away, then it cuts to Miles asking his mom to go to boarding school or something. So maybe he was lying and they had plans to leave and take off. Boarding school was just a cover. But now with this whole Hunter thing plans have changed, so yeah we will see more esme/miles probably, probably them in the after math of 1x10 but I also feel like Esme is going to be interacting with more characters next block, not just miles.

I never noticed that she said this! I should go back and do a rewatch, probably a lot that I've overlooked. I wonder if Esme was abused. I think she thought she was helping Miles. In her head, taking pills is what helps. She wasn't trying to get him addicted, although I do think she was somewhat aware of his dependency on her. You aren't born with a special social skill like that. She learned manipulation like that. Miles picked up on similar behaviors from his dad.

Oh these two are just so beautifully messy!

I wish that Degrassi would let me enjoy a ship for a minute. My Miles and Zoe ships were like playing roulette. If Ziles and Triles can happen again why not these two? I just hope nothing good comes of it. I say that with love.

But seriously...isn't Miles the least bit concerned with how he left her? It isn't up to him to fix her or whatever but you can't tell me she hasn't crossed his mind.
