Congrats on a new thread! I'm not going to ask to be removed from the shippers list, but I have to say that right now I'm kind of indifferent to them. I hope this doesn't come across as disrespectful or "anti" the ship (because I'm not), but is anyone else feeling a bit disillusioned by their recent development?
I think I liked the idea of them more when Fitz was still "the bad guy." This born again Christian thing just isn't doing it for me. It doesn't feel real... maybe because Mark's performance isn't exactly convincing, either. I really hope that Fitz lapses somewhat back into his "bad boy" self because that was so much more interesting to me. I think Fitz has a right to be angry about what happened to him, and I want to see that. Am I alone in this?! |

^ I feel the same way! I was hoping when we heard about them connection over God that Fitz would end up being this conflicted bully. Like he still goes around tormenting the little guy but then he feels bad about it and goes to church to confess his sins. Father Greg would just sigh and say "At least you are trying." Fitz wouldn't let any of his friends know he was faithful but he'd secretly talk to Clare about it.... I love conflicted characters. It would have been awesome.

^ That's what I was hoping for too.
There's still a chance he might relapse into his old ways, though. If JEC/Fitz is coming back. Hopefully "Jesus, Etc." won't be the last time we'll see him. ... wasn't there supposed to be a community service storyline? Or did we make that up?  __________________

Yeah, I hate that it's just out of nowhere that he reformed and this is who he is now. I would have liked to see conflict and progression... oh well.
A community service storyline would have been awesome! The perfect way to show that he's trying to change his ways (instead of leaping from one extreme to the other). Plus, he and Clare could have bonded more naturally and willingly. I hope he comes back. Right now I feel like there is so much lost potential with these two.  |

No don't worry JEC is back. Fitz is actually a regular character right now even though he's not in the opening. It's just that he was out of town when they filmed them. Check the credit and you'll see he's even listed. Which also gives me hope they'll develop him more next season.
I totally agree about the community service. I haven't heard anything official on that so it's probably not going to happen. |

It's weird that I'm now convinced Flare won't happen or really be much of a possibility season 11. Just because it seems Clare will have other stuff going on, her parents' divorce and she'll most likely still be dealing with Eli.
There was probably more of a chance of Flare with the old Fitz, not this new one, which is funny because now he shares the sames views as Clare. He's just weird about it. And Clare seems to be attracted to guys who aren't so similar to her. |
