Sign me up please! I love their friendship and I wanted it to be more. Their commercial promo was great.

Ever since Spinner found out Holly J liked him more than a friend, I was hoping he'd dump Jane for her. If only...

I agree, completely. I really wanted Spolly J to get together. I wanted him to find out about Jane's cheating on him and for him to break up with her.Obviously, they didn't get together, but it would make so much sense. They really understood eachother. Spinner was really the type of friend that she needed.

I think that's why I found it so weird that in Degrassi Takes Manhattan, that Holly J and Jane were discussing the whole thing like it was no big deal. Like Jane mentioning that she slept with Declan. Not only was it weird to hear from Jane(if she felt so guilty about it and regretted it, why would she be discussing it like she was?) and from Holly J who was dating Declan at the time and was still very good friends with Spinner.

It's something that made me dislike Jane. Before that I had a soft spot for her, but then that awful storyline happened. Okay, she cheated. I guess on some level I could buy her explanation about feeling underappreciated but the way she acted afterwards was horrible. No feelings of guilt, making fun out of the whole thing. She never planned to tell Spinner about it and I can't imagine building a relationship on a lie. Especially one this big. I don't think I would be able to ship her with Declan either. The way their relationship started wasn't really appealing. It was superficial and cruel to people around them. I'm just sad it ruined Spolly J's friendship. For quite some time Spinner was Holly J's rock. The only person who truly accepted her and helped her get out of her shell. He was there when she had no one. They were really close and I couldn't believe that Holly J would throw it all away for her newly-formed friendship with Jane. writers why must you screw up so badly?

Exactly. I wouldnt feel comfortable talking about that so casually with, especially considering the circumstances. XD

Me neither. If we were supposed to believe Jane was so sorry about it, they really messed up because if she was, she wouldn't have talked about it like that. With Holly J, it was like an alien had taken over her body. The fact that she didn't seem the least bit uncomfortable, listening to Jane talk about having slept with her boyfriend/cheating on Spinner.

No wonder I didn't really like Degrassi Takes Manhattan as much as I did the other Degrassi movies.

Ugh I couldn't stand Jane in the movie, she demanded sympathy when she was at fault, was selfish when she found out that Spinner seemed happy with Emma, and tried to ruin the wedding when she'd already ruined his happiness :mad:

Yeah... the only thing I liked about DTM was the scene with Declan and Fiona after she kissed him, and he was all like, "I'm SCARED that you're messed up!" and stuff. Annie and Landon's acting = amazing. It was really the first time I felt REALLY sorry for Fiona, for having latched onto Declan the way she did.

OH! And even though Spemma came out of nowhere... I DID like the fact that Spinner had kept all of those momentos. That was great.:lol:

I agree with what you wrote, as much as I love Sav and Holly J together, I think that if anything more significant with Spinner and Holly J had ever happened, I'd probably ship it way harder than I do Savvy J. They had such a connection in season 8 which I feel is unmatched by the majority of couples on this show, including ones that stayed together for multiple seasons. I don't think I'll ever understand why they didn't explore their relationship more, considering the window of opportunity at the beginning of season 9.

Yeah, I know what you mean. And then TeenNick teased us with the whole Shane/Charlotte commercial, but Spolly J never happened.
