Holly J & Spinner #1 Because how come they haven't got a thread yet?
 

So, I've been looking for their thread and discovered that they haven't got any. I don't know how's that possible, because I think they would have made a wonderful match. They're the one friendship I wanted to bloom into something more:)

Because she didn't want to give Jane another opportunity to break his heart
Because she respected his relationship

I totally would've shipped Spinner/Holly J (Spolly J?) had it become canon.

Added everybody who asked for it:) I'm so mad at the writers that they didn't make this happen. I truly believe that Spinner would have been the best choice for Holly J. I love the fact that he helped her out of her shell, encouraged to let more and more people in her life and assured that she was great just the way she is. She liked him for all the right reasons and I'm really disappoined it didn't go further than that. They would have been my OTP.

Spolly J. is basically the best thing ever. It easily would have been my favorite new kids ship. (Spinner isn't new but it was season 8) Actually, Declona would be up there, but still.

What makes me so angry is that it looked like something might happen in season nine. AND THEN THERE WAS THAT COMMERCIAL. If I ever find out who came up with that idea, I'll smack him down. Seriously.

But then there wasn't even any Spolly J. dialogue--except maybe in DTM. :(
Also, I'm pretty sure that DTM killed their friendship. I'll just pretend it didn't happen. :look:

Maybe there was never a thread for these two because the loss of potential is too depressing to think about...

I'm still bitter about it too! I definitely shipped them. They go down in the hall of fame of Greatest Ships that Never Were. :( I always thought everything in season 9 would have been perfect if Jane and Holly J had just swapped boyfriends.

That's the commercial! Seriously, it was just cruel of the powers that be. I know they say they're just "practicing" in it, but I always figured that meant they'd be "practicing" on the show. *grumble* I'm extremely bitter about this.

I definitely know what you mean about a Spane and Hollan J. swap. As is, the whole love square thing never happened.
*actually we could resolve all this with Speclan and Jolly J. :nod: Or not.*

Oh! Could I please be added? I always wanted Spinner and Holly J to get together on the show. Pretty much, ever since they had become friends in season eight. I liked her crush on him and how well they got along(actually, I really liked their friendship with Jay, too.) I really liked their scene back in season eight when Spinner told her that things could be worse. He really seemed to know how to handle her. He didn't just let her walk all over him or anything. Also, I think that's part of the reason why I was just a little bit upset when Holly J didn't tell Spinner about Jane's cheating on him with Declan, when she saw that Jane never planned on telling him. I know that she didn't want him to end up hurt but in my mindset, it would hurt worse to know that his friend knew and didn't tell him.

And that promo always makes me so mad, because Degrassi really made me think that it was going to happen! But then it didn't. :(
