I've seen both ugly and pretty rapists on Law & Order: SVU. And I'm sure that happens in real life as well. You can't judge someone solely on looks alone. Hell, the pretty ones are more likely to get away with it...cause people use that as 'OH, THEY CAN'T BE A RAPIST~'

Oh! I didn't mean to offend any 15 year olds here, heh. However, at any age, there are going to be deluded people out there. I guess I was thinking of 15 year olds who are going to be further influenced by this story and be like, "huh, well since Holly J turned out okay out of this and believes she's ok with this, it totally makes it alright if an actual rape happens to me...as long as the guy is SUPERHOT!OMG."

Sorry if I sound crass but has this dumb ****** ever heard of Ted Bundy? Paul Bernardo? Richard Ramirez?? All three were physically attractive (well Night Stalker physicality gets docked because his teeth were so disgusting!) These monsters used their charm and good looks to lure, degrade, torture, rape and murder women! I read about the Night Stalker at CrimeLibrary and I couldn't believe the groupies and love letters he received at his trial--one of the jurors even married him and she found him guilty!!! I recently read in the paper that someone that was so in love with Bernando has been declared a dangerous person in Canada.

I also watch Law & Order: SVU. Yes there are female rapists (3 women and one male stripper, teen girl raping her young sister). Hell soaps have female rapists too and so many of them get away with it!

Eva Diva: HELL YEAH! Another SVU loyalist. I'm sorry...I just love the show. It just sucks you in. I care about what happens to the detectives and the kids/women/men that are under their protection (I need to buy the Season 11...or 12 DVD. Haven't seen any of the newest episodes..).

Yes, even Stabler (one of the main male detectives) was joking about the mailman who was raped by those three women. And Benson kind of looked at him all funny, in a 'Are you kidding me...?' way. "What, so you don't believe men can be raped?" Stabler basically said he didn't believe a man could be raped. Lolno, Stabler.
There was one case that involved a female teacher (Melissa Joan Hart!), who was suspected of raping her male student, but it was the student who raped her.

Anyway, I seriously don't know how it is that something painted so clear in actions and words can be ignored completely...(Declan raping Holly J, I mean).

I'm sure Declan took the kiss from Holly J as as 'OH~ SHE CHANGED HER MIND, I'M GOING IN' even though I highly disagree with the fact Declan would - I don't know - actually pay attention to how uncomfortable Holly J was from his forcing her to kiss him. Ugh..that's not romantic or hot.

There was some story on SVU that had this guy who drugged women (they were the ones you meet online for sex - but you pay them? Escorts/Prostitutes?) and then raped them (even though he admitted he had some fetish about raping and having the girls feign like they are actually being raped).
...that scene was very hard to watch because they weren't faking being raped. I say this as a dedicated fan of the SVU series, too.

The scene of Holly J and Declan just took me back to that scene...and it's really hard to watch the episode Love Lockdown at all anymore. The Holly J/Declan plot, anyway...
