Add me. I'm not quite sure what to expect with her and I'm afraid to have high hopes knowing this show, but the sneak peek got me excited. Goldi certainly sounds unique.

In the CP24Breakfast interview with the cast they mentioned feminism being a major theme this season. I'm guessing Goldi kicks that off. Hopefully she enters a strong character and we see plenty of her.

See...if I actually spent the five minutes to watch that thing I'd know that. :lol:

I agree about her starting out as a strong character. I hope that happens. She's part of the newest Degrassi siblings, just one of the many interesting dynamics with her that I'm looking forward to see playing out.

She seems really well spoken. Kinda an inspirational tweet/video.

As I wait for Netflix I took a little trip through Soma's Instagram and reaffirmed something that at the risk of sounding like a perv, you can't help but notice- she's stunningly beautiful, isn't she?

I wonder if Goldi made a connection with (platonic or otherwise) with any of the other characters during these ten episodes. I guess we're found out soon. Very soon. :D

She answered a lot of questions. Great to get to know you Soma! Her Q&A was on the 13th if you want to go into her replies and skim to see if one catches your eye.

Well, in the first episode I thought she was the only good choice for school president but later I was reliefed that she didn´t get the post (not that Tristan and Miles really were a good choice for that post either).
But I´m interested in where she´s coming from with her over the top feminism. I already shook my head at the bathrooms, but taking on the gamer club with the arguments she had, was ridiculous. But not unrealistic because I already experienced feminism as over the top.
So I hope we get to see her story behind it. And maybe a journey (with the help of Maya?) to the realization that she should take on the really important matters and not unnecessary campaigns that IMO are not even about equality anymore but using feminism as a tool to get the girls what they want.

I like seeing an activist, but I do agree that for the development of her character it will be important for her to take on causes that don't (and shouldn't) go her way.

Oh and I would like to know why Hunter and his Newbies went after Maya so vehemently as opposed to really doing nothing to Goldi? Well, other than Maya's status as a character on the show compared to the status of Goldi which may have been the only determining factor in the writers and producers minds.
