Nick’s song Stand Next To You with @sarawais

So I’m watching @gngbts on @netflix recently falling in love with the show and everyone on it, especially @sarawais She lights up the camera with an addictive energy that radiates through the television.

Cut to last night, I’m looking through old videos and come across this video of Nick working on his song with this talented singer and actress. We were in Los Angeles “testing” out the city to see if we wanted to move here. I was 6 months pregnant at the time. Nick got hired to add his music to a film. He was so excited. I’m watching this video loving how the two of them are jamming. Nick, playing the guitar listening as this young woman sings away. I remember telling him how much I loved hearing a woman’s voice on his song!

Then it all clicked! Omg, this is the actress I loved from Ginny and Georgia! I immediately DM’d her and through the power of social media we exchanged stories and she so graciously shared even more about Nick to me as they rehearsed his music together for the film. I remember how much he appreciated her artistry and talent. He would come home so excited about their work together and how she was interpreting his songs.

I had chills. I cannot believe I never put it together but I’m so glad I did now! Such a treat to have these videos. I’m determined to keep his music alive.
