Degrassi - Favorite Season.

My all time favorite is 4, simply the best in my opinion.

Here is my lift from favorite to least favorite...
4, 3, 5, 2, 6, 1, 7.

Mine is season 4. Loved the whole shooting storyline arc, the testing of Spimmy, CrAsh reunion, GITM, VC, Jiberty finally getting together, and just a bunch of things. Season 2 would be my second favorite because everybody got a plot, and I even found the duds very cute.

I have to agree with you guys, SITD and DOG were great. But a degrassi season needs more than 4 great episodes. I didn't like the storylines, didn't like characters such as Damian, who just don't have anything to add. Then again, some great characters have been introduced to shine in season 8, like Jane and Johnny. Although I'm rating season 8 this low, it's just because it hasn't finished yet. There is a lot to come, and I'm expecting a lot. They introduced the new kids who're doing a terrific job, like Clare, Connor and Alli. KC hasn't convinced me yet. But Jane is doing terrific, and Mia as well with her role in the beginning. Her storyline gave the new season what it needed to flush the terrible last season away. And what about Danny's new look/style and Riley's role until now. He has to cope with himself being a homosexual, and at (to himself)last isn't in denial anymore.

Season 4 is outstanding, nothing more to add. Season 3 and 2 too, you can see that degrassi needs Craig Manning. His short appearance in season 6 was terrific, and the start-up for JT's death(you know, when Manny's throwing Liberty a party)
Season 5 started off nice and then it slowed down, slower and slower and slower. A shame.
Season 7 horrible!
Season 4 the best!! The emotions everyone felt during TSS...unbelievable

Really the best!

Let's see...........

Season 7 (top to bottom the best the show has ever been with strong episodes consistently throughout the season)
Season 4 (some great stuff done with the shooting, Emma's alienation and Craig's breakdown, points off for focusing too much on two characters)
Season 3 (great start, and the triangle is as good a storyline as we've seen from a romantic standpoint, fizzles at the end)
Season 2 (a few too many dog episodes, but overall very solid)
Season 1 (always will have soft spot for the beginning, like S4, it focused too much on two characters)
Season 6 (got off to a solid start, but the last half dozen episode are....well....not good)
Season 5 (got off to a very bad start and well didn't improve)

Right now, Season 8 would fall into the S3/S2 area, although it's on a very nice role with this most recent batch of episodes.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Yes I totally agree, Degrassi needs Craig Manning.

Yeah, I don't think they've ever gone wrong with a Craig two-parter. I just blame Kevin Smith for messing GDTR up.

But it gets a little sketchy in the middle. I tend to lump seasons 4-6 together and 8 will probably end up somewhere in the top half when it's over, too.

Season 4 (This was when I was the most into the show and anticipated it the most. So many stellar episodes and I say that without my usual bias

Season 2
Season 1 (I was torn on this. But the truth is I enjoy rewatching this season more than 3.)
Season 3 (I appreciate what this season did for the show and I think I enjoyed a lot of episodes while it was airing but the truth is that I've only watched Accidents Will Happen and Rock 'N Roll High School after buying the DVDS and I never watch this season during marathons. I think my Craig bias is showing; it was so hard for me to watch his character fall that far.)
Season 7 (This season and on in my list is where I don't remember details/moments like I will for seasons 1-4.

Season 5 (A lot of these episodes are very forgettable for me. I often get this season and season 6 episodes mixed up.)
Season 6 (There's only a handful of plots from this season I enjoyed and they were often paired with subplots I didn't care about. Waaay too heavy on love drama and it often overshadowed the issues.)

I don't know where 8 fits in...before 6 for sure. I appreciate bringing in the new kids and getting back to the shows roots but at a lot could change since the season isn't over.
