Thanks for starting! Am I right in thinking you aren't an Alanis fan JustMe? Should I have trusted you with this?

That long dark hair is really flattering on Clare/Aislinn...

Maybe not the biggest fan in the world, but I thought I did okay. I will say her video isn't my favorite among those I posted.

BTW, I've heard that if you haven't watched the the Eli mini, you probably should before seeing tonight's episode. Oh and Canadians, I know for some stupid reason you can't watch the YouTube clip, but I can't find the link to where you actually watch it.

A-Plot: Oh no, something else is wrong with Clare? Does chemo affect memory? Oi. In any case, I did like her plot and I think her idea to fudge her article will bite her on the ass later. Zoe was a little punk, but I do like the grades interacting, so there's that at least.

B-Plot: Of course Tristan SAYS that he just wants to be Miles's friend, but I'm sure there's still a part of him that still yearns for him. I do think Miles is interested at least, that's where this plot seems to be heading. Speaking of Miles, I actually didn't dislike him this episode, yay. It's a cliche plot, the Well Done Son Guy plot but he did convey his disappointment at not being a starter well.

Oh and I have to call out the lazy writing of Tristan getting the steroids from Owen. Owen chastised Anya for doing drugs and Tristan for cleansing trying to lose weight, and all of a sudden, he has steroids? Lazy. Unless he's a big ol' hypocrite and this is well, Owen we're talking about.

C-Plot: Imogen and Becky...I know Imogen is trying to avoid the confrontation (very much in character) but sooner or later it's going to come out. Can't really say much about the plot, it was just set-up.

I read on someone's Tumblr that chemotherapy can have a side-effect called chemo-brain or something...? So, yeah, that could be it. But it is Degrassi we're talking about.

Side-note: I thought it was nice that Drew was concerned and wanted to help her. Suggesting that she speak while he types was a good idea (I'll just assume that Drew was patient and tried his best for her).

My mom is a two-time cancer survivor and literally 30 seconds into the episode, she told me "Clare has chemo brain." She knew immediately. My mom has been cancer-free for a few years now and she said she still feels like this sometimes. So, props to Degrassi for portraying something so realistically.

Hopefully they were using the 'you should see a doctor/but I'm not a doctor' thing as a fake-out instead of making her even sicker (aka something worse happening to her). It's mean to some people watching the show, but if you read what other people are saying about the chemotherapy side-effects (like you and others from Tumblr), it's easier to watch that scene and not be as panicked.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about Clare dying. I didn't stop worrying until I read the posts from Tumblr about the 'chemo brain' because I have never experienced it, so I knew nothing about it.

I'll write more about the episode later, but my first thought when Tristan gave Miles those pills was that he gave him some kind of placebo/aspirin or something like that.

Oh and I was also wondering just how rich boy/son of a politician Miles wouldn't have connections for that type of thing if he really wanted it?

That's interesting about chemo brain. My mother never had the chance to do chemo, so I'm largely unfamiliar with the effects outside of the basics that you always read about (losing hair, feeling rundown, no appetite, etc).

i liked the episode.

miles/tristan were cute and i hope we get more scenes with them. i really want it to go there with them, but well see.

claire is awesome, ive really grown to like her in the last season and i love her interaction with drew. i dont think the cancer is back, i think thats just a scare...

becky was so damn cute this episode! i like her interaction with becky. i loved them both with adam and now i am kinda shipping them too but id be okay with a friendship! i like that they said becky was trying to keep busy and that it shows shes still not over adams death.

also, i love zoe. i think shes a good comic relief for the show.

I can't remember this episode, that aired 4 years ago, at all. Do promo pictures help?

Not really. I don't think Clare went all Nancy Drew trying to find Maya's glasses. I hope someone texted those boys and told them to come in from the rain.

I thought the Drew/Snake plot went well.

I don't remember much of season 13, I think that was effect of the weird airing schedule as they did a lot of episodes but no summer weekly stretch.
