So far, I'm liking this season more than the last. So good sign all the way around.
A plot: I was definitely happy to see more of Holly J. I like the Holly J/Jane friendship and I'm glad it survived Holly J finding out about Jane and Declan. I thought Holly J. getting a crush on Declan was a nice touch. I would have liked to have gotten some resolve of the situation with Spinner, and for Jane to have faced some repercussions, but I'm sure she will down the line. I definitely don't think this is over.

As for the b-plot, it kind of reminded me of DH/DJH... Bruce and Dave kind of remind me of Dwayne and Joey. I thought it was a cute plot, and a nice introduction to Dave.

Side note: I loved when Holly J. told Anya to get a life.

This episode was much better than Close to Me. I liked the way they handled the affair here a lot more. Holly J and Jane's friendship was cute and a lot more natural than Manny and Jane's in the first part.

I get the feeling this isn't the end of the Declan-Jane-Holly J-Spinner relationship. I'm sure word of the affair will get out somehow.

I loved Holly J's "There is in Bite Me!" Burn to the Blue J fans, but I was never a big fan so I liked it. I'm glad she called Anya out too. I hate when people only want to hang out because their boyfriends are busy. I get the feeling this may have been a hint for a later Anya storyline as well.

The Holly J-Anya-Leia click was strange to me in the beginning, but didn't bother me as much as I thought it would.

I miss Holly J's ponytail.

I'm not going to lie, I loved the B-plot. I think with all the seriousness going on this season we needed someone like Dave to keep it light. Dave's fight with Bruce reminded me a lot of the Spinner-JT battle in season 3. I think Dave may grow to be one of my favorite characters, unlike a lot of kids on the show, the boy can act too.

I've only seen the premiere, but will have to agree on this particular actor. Kid's a true find.

Yeah Anya's kinda of clingy and I sense that her behavior towards Sav is going to be an indication of what is to come for future stroylines, now I don't think this is the end for Declan/Holly J/Jane and Spinner. I wonder which couples will be left standing, I have a question did she just make out with Declan or did something more happen? Great Episode.

I'll comment on the more interesting episode. 904 was okay as a set-up episode for both plots.

Declan and Jane's "relationship" was actually quite believable. Not so much Jane was really into Declan, just really into Declan's new hotness as opposed to Spinner's old school. And not wanting to settle so young when she has great plans ahead of her. The Holly/Jane friendship was freaking awesome and the two actresses have crazy chemistry. I don't think the Holly J/Declan/Jane/Spinner thing is over by a longshot.

Wow, TPTB found a great actor in Jahmil French. His plotline was classic Degrassi, something that could be found in season two. Don't know why Bruce didn't immediately pound him, but maybe Bruce isn't that much of a jerk. And lo and behold I wasn't annoyed by Chante. Good episode all around.

Alright femslash writers, get on that Holly Jane fanfic.

Getting pounded. Getting a balloon full of piss thrown at you from just a few feet away. Yeah, I'm not so sure Dave got the better end of the deal on that one.

I'll even go further than that and say that I actually l liked her in this episode and really enjoyed her interaction with Dave.

Everyone's already posted pretty much everything else I was going to say so I won't add much. I will say that I really liked the advice that Holly J gave Jane before the latter broke up with Declan. That specific advice felt very in character for her from what we've seen of her over her time on the show. Oh and the whole babysitting club thing was pretty damn awesome. I especially loved Jane's "you love bossing teenage girls around" line.

Very good all around episode.

I'm actually going to agree here. I hope we see more of him with her, their banter was pretty amusing.

Even a minute of her in this episode was too much! I don't know how much more of her attitude I can take. I hope she's revealed to be an evil mastermind or something soon. I don't think I can sit through the rainbows and sunshine act for the rest of the season.

This was a really cute episode and felt more lighthearted than any other episode so far. Besides Holly J. finding out about the Declan/Jane stuff, that is.

Anywho, I really liked Holly J. and Jane's friendship. I hope they actually continue to show them hanging out for the rest of the season because they actually make really good friends. Better than Anya/Holly J. just because Mia left and Holly J./Leia because they it's convenient. They are kind of similar to Darcy/Jane, but way better. I thought the whole babysitting idea was very cool and interesting, reminds me of the Babysitter's Club books I used to read.

It was really funny when Anya thought she could just swoop in and take over. I'm glad Jane told her off and Holly J. let her. It was also nice how Holly J. felt comfortable enough to tell Jane about her new crush on Declan. The "Chatty Kathy" comment was cute.

Declan is a player, but maybe Holly J. will actually decide he's not so bad. I hope she does, because I like her friendship with Spinner and that will be ruined once they go out and break up. Hopefully her and Blue are seriously just done, dead and over. There was nothing there to beging with.

For some reason, I found it odd that Jane brought up Holly J.'s crush on Spinner and was in no way upset about it. Obviously she doesn't get jealous easily or she's just a very nice person, or both. I also liked Holly J.'s advice to Jane. She was never known to care about how other people felt. But she actually told Jane what she should do, really for her own good. I'm also Jane really did break it off with Declan and Holly J. didn't tell Spinner. That shows that they can already trust each other. I'm like the Declan/Jane/Spinner/Holly J. dynamic. This is one interesting love square!

As for the subplot, it was so adorable! I'm lovin' me some Dave. He's just the cutest! I liked his interactions with Chante and how badly he wanted to do something that would really get him noticed. Whatever happened to teens simply wanting to fit in? Come on now, Degrassi. It was nice how he was able to earn Bruce's respect at the end of the day. I hope he continues to make more friends and have fun. He's very entertaining and a really cool guy.

Heres my Review:

Plot A: Jane and Holly J. make a good team... Im glad that they were able to be comfortable with each other to the point where they can call the other out on as Holly J. put it "B.S"... I dont think that this was the end of the Declan/Jane affair and I can see the square forming as I type.. Cant wait for that!

The B plot: I'm lovin' the direction that they are going with Dave. His storyline was definitly a throwback to the Spinner/JT fight during Season 3... the "good ol days" as I call them... I think that Dave was definitely a character that Degrassi needs because honestly it cant ALWAYS be about STDs or abuse!

Overall I think this episode was just what Degrassi needed... It got back to its roots and brought the issues realistically... I give this eppy an A.
