I'm like evil, I get under your skin

Claire is right, Johnny isn't very nice.

I understand his frustration and the PDA, but he treated her really crappily throughout the episode and it almost complete erased all my good feelings about him in Heart of Glass. And he didn't give back the phone with the nudie pics on it? Ass. I'm glad Alli realized it was time to call it off.

The subplot was just set-up. Between Fiona's suspicions, her telling Declan and Soccerstud coming back, I think the rumors about Riley's sexuality will spread in 907-908. I guess the meeting in the ravine lead to something of a relationship between Riley and Soccerstud.

I really liked this episode. I thought both the A-plot and B-plot were really good.

A-Plot:
I'm glad they decided to cover sexting and Alli was a good choice. It was easy to see how she got wrapped up in it all. I can't believe she put the photo of Johnny up. She completely betrayed his trust. At the same time Johnny was no better. I've lost all my respect for him. I did think he was really cute posing with the puppy though!~

I loved the looks on Bruce and Mr.Simpson's faces when they saw the photo.

Mourning the end of Jalli since I don't think they'll get back together in 905. But I'm liking the hints of Dave and Alli. They could be cute together. And I could see Alli and Dave double dating with Clare and KC more than her and Johnny... I thought it was funny when that was even suggested!

B-Plot:
Good intro to Fiona. I think I'm going to really like her. I'm glad she found out Riley was gay. I was afraid they might start a relationship and she would get hurt. I think it could be a really cute friendship though.

I thought Dave was hilarious hitting on her! He's for sure my favorite new kid, I liked that he was involved with both plots.

Loved the fashion club. I'm wondering if we'll see more of it or the photography club this season.

I don't know guys, I still like Johnny. But I always have. Up until the end I could understand his actions more. Surprised by that PSA for digital dating was tacked onto the episode actually. Alli was just driving me nuts through out the whole episode; those two do not mesh at all. I liked their relationship more when they had this sort of outsider vibe to them in the previous season; their peers thought that each was something that they weren't so J & A didn't strive to make each other different. Guess that's gone. It seems the theme with Alli is that she always tries too hard and wants to force things.

I'm surprised by how much the dirtbag crew of Johnny & Bruce the Moose have grown on me. Is that crazy? I think I just really want a less clean cut group of kids. That gang always gave us that, including the hint of underage drinking.

Edit: Liked Ms. H's lecture on how sexting is considered child pornography too. Was wondering if they were going to mention that. I like it when the episodes sort of conclude on a lesson, even if it feels after-school ish. I'd just take the vibe of older seasons and high school over Hollywood comedy fluff any day. I wonder if Teen Nick is going to manage to take a PSA onto every episode. That's going to amuse the hell out of me.

Oh but why is Ms. H principal? Whatever happened to The Shep?

Really enjoy the relationship of Fiona and Riley. Appreciated the name drop of "Let The Right One In." It seems like they both could use each other to hide what they don't want their peers to find out, at least for the time being because it's obvious that Fiona doesn't want a relationship right now. Riley's sharp changes in how he acts around people is understandable.

I think they both came off looking pretty bad in this episode. She was too needy and pushed things too much, while he really did treat her pretty badly throughout.

I don't know if we'll ever actually see one, but I'd like to see a Johnny-centered plot rather than have him play the bad boy Alli or some other girl is looking for at that point in time. I think he has a lot of potential as a character.

Snake and Bruce's reactions to her naked picture were indeed hilarious. I also loved the way Connor had a decoy lunch for Bruce, as well as Bruce's reaction to whatever was in that decoy lunch ("there's really something wrong with that kid, like I don't know?" ).

As for the subplot, I like what I've seen of Fiona so far. Loved the little bit of interaction with Dave and the stuff with her and Declan is good as well. As for her and Riley, I enjoyed their interaction as well. I agree that Riley's interaction around different characters is noticeable, but in a good way.

A few other thoughts.

In classic Degrassi mode the whole "hidden identity" thing mentioned by Kwan in class came into play with all four of the lead characters in this episode. You've got Riley hiding his sexuality, Johnny hiding his softer side, Fiona hiding behind these fake relationships likely so she doesn't actually show intimacy and vulnerability with someone and then Alli, who exposes herself in every way possible in one sense, but hides much of her true self from her parents in another.

I was happy to see school-related activities being central to both plots, especially the main one.

I wonder what happens to the Shep with Hot Sauce back in her old gig? And I liked her lecture to Alli. It didn't even feel that over the top to me.

Sav and Anya are pathetic- and I actually mean that in a good way.

Good overall episode, enjoyed both plots.

I really enjoyed this episode.

I kind of wish there was more explanation behind Ms. H taking over principal duties and the Shep being gone...

A lot of times with Degrassi, they'll try to bring issues to light and tack them onto a character that really has no business with it (i.e. Emma's annorexia came out of nowhere) but with Alli, I felt the sexting plot was appropriate. She's always been an insecure character, and one that's always gotten herself in over her head. Alli's actress was stiff at times, but I felt like she's improved quite a bit from last season. BOTH Alli and Johnny were in the wrong, which I like, because there wasn't a clear villain-- and there isn't usually. Both of them care too much about what other people think of them.
I liked the use of the fashion and photography clubs.
I really liked Dave, Bruce and Mr. Simpson in the episode too, they provided me with some laughs.

I liked the B-plot. Like others have said, it was set-up for a future plot. I liked that they brought back Soccerstud. I'm liking Fiona so far, and I'm interested to see where they take her character and her relationship with Riley.

IA about Johnny, I totally saw where he was coming from but at the same time those "rules" are ridiculous... I mean im got that she was acting like a mother during the lunch scene... but you can always just tone down not stop all together in front of his friends...

Poor Snake it was like Hungry Eyes all over again... I liked the Fiona/Riley Plot alot and Im also digging the new characters Dave (whoever said that hes a JT 2.0 is soo right about that...) and Declan seems interesting...

I thought this was a pretty good episode.

I loved Johnny/Alli ever sense Heart of Glass but I agree that they were both wrong in this episode. Alli was being quite annoying with him and did ruin his trust and even though what he did was way worse, I still like his character because I enjoy seeing the darker sides of him. I agree with kaleidocat about wanting a less clean cut group of kids (So thank god for Johnny and Bruce). But I got to say, Alli/Johnny did have some sweet moments in this episode, like him wanting to help her with her homework and talking about books....maybe I just enjoy seeing all the different sides of Johnny in general. I WANT MORE. I want a Johnny centered episode and I want to see his homelife.

As mentioned, Bruce and Dave provided some great humor in this episode. I love Dave so far. And I also loved Mr.Simpsons reaction to Alli too.

So far I really, really like Fiona. She's very interesting. This was good setting up for future Riley episodes and I liked that SoccerStud came in again. The interaction between Fiona and Riley was sweet and I wonder if she will be the first girl Riley will tell his secret too and if they are going to become BFF's like Marco and Ellie.

I like how Riley said that he was going to grab a hot dog. Yeah, you're going to grab a hot dog. I wonder if the writers meant it the way I think it means, ha ha.

Oh God, I didn't want to say anything. But that was the first thing I thought of too. I think the writers put it in as a joke- sick sense of humor.

I really liked this episode. It's in my top twenty. Very realistic. 9/10

I don't really see why Alli would want to be sitting on Johnny's lap in the front of the school when they were supposed to be keeping their relationship a secret, but whatever. I thought the moment when they were in her room and she took the pictures was really cute. However, she should have known better than to immediately broadcast the photos when she knew how Johnny would react. He's obviously very sensitive; doesn't she remember when he dumped her because of Holly J. of all people? Other than that, I think this ship has sunk. :'(

It made me really sad. They seemed like they were going to make it. I do see why Alli would resort to taking revealing photos of herself as an apology for the PDA and everything, but I just don't get why she doesn't think before she acts. Are they really making a Muslim girl out to be that naive? Then again, I guess the writers decided it would be a great time to bring the old/mean Johnny back. If he really cared about her, he wouldn't have sent the photos to Bruce. On the other hand, she shouldn't have given him an entire phone and nude photos. Really ridiculous.

The ending was so realistic, but I was still mad.

As for the subplot, I'm more interested in Declan than Fiona, but she's okay. It's amazing how she instantly figured out Riley is gay. I honestly think Riley not wanting to admit he's gay is just getting old. The actor is great, but they need to give him some storylines dealing with other things.

Overall great episode though.

^I agree about this episode being one of my tops. I love Johnny and Alli and somehow (I don't know if the character was conceived this way) Alli's character makes her the best candidate to address a lot of current teen issues like the cyber-bullying and sexting.

I hope that Alli and Johnny can find their way to each other because they were both wrong. Johnny has to realize he can't just lay down rules, that's not how a relationship goes. And Alli needs to learn not to push so hard. She has to decide what she wants. Either she wants the walk down the hall holding hands, lovey-dovey boyfriend. Or she wants Johnny. Even without the no-PDA rule, Johnny's not going to join clubs or teams. Even with his "friends" Johnny keeps to himself.

I thought Johnny's decision to keep the pictures was very telling though. He's basically telling her since he can't be with her, he wants to keep a piece of her. I don't think he's being a jerk, I think he's holding on to the one thing he has left of her. I hope the writers can find a genuine way to reconcile them.
