| Ok, I was going to wait another week and watch it when the N aired it but of course, I couldn't. I LOVED this episode. I think this season is getting rather good which makes me take back my thoughts of it ending next season Anyway, loved the closer look at Jane's family life. I loved how they were dealing with the obvious molestation by her father, how Jane reacted every time he was there. It was so nice seeing Lucas again, too. I want him to become part of the cast...as long as he does something about that hair though! As for the sub-plot I liked it somewhat. I don't know how I feel about Lia to be honest. I think there are some issues that are making her act the way she is, like calling Sav out for hitting on her, lying to her friends to seem cool...but actually going to the Fall out Boy concert? Man, I wouldn't have been able to show my face for a long while. But I guess that's just me. I like how Danny's (or is it Derek, I can't keep those two straight...) coming along. I like him as a character, how he's developed over the years. I don't care for seeing Liberty (booring!) and was glad she didn't have a speaking part I loved seeing Jane's little melt down at the Dot, it was a new side of her we don't get to see too much. It makes me want to see Part 2 now, now, now! I can't wait. | |||

| Sarah's living in Montreal now, right? I wonder if they actually paid for her to travel back to Toronto just for that 1 second scene. Seems like a waste of money to me. lol __________________ tessa&scott ♥ | |||

| So, I really liked the way they wrapped the two-parter up. Main points: -Jane sleeping on the park bench was just so sad. I actually thought she'd go see Spinner, but I guess she didn't want to face him. -I really, really liked how they used Lucas in this episode. And even though the last scene was mega cheesy, it was really nice. ![]() -I sorta wish there was more Spinner, but Lucas more than made up for it. -Paula's acting was brilliant. It really was. That scene with Holly J. was just so good it blew my mind. -Alli was so great in this episode. I knew this would happen, but I didn't expect Clare to take to her new look so instantly...anyways, they did that well. -Alli/KC, really? Definitely was not expecting that one... -I really enjoyed the Johnny/Alli banter at the end. It was cute. -I loved that little scene where Peter sees Clare in Darcy's clothes, I laughed a lot. ![]() So yeah, I liked it. Next week's ep looks pretty intense too... __________________ because the best stories haven't been written yet... [d & b] [t & m] | |||

| This episode was really good. I thought it was handled really well. I was really happy with the mainplot. I think my favourite part of this episode was the portrayal of Lucas. He was great!! Last season I didn’t care about him at all, but now I think he’s really interesting. Paula also did an amazing job. I love the scene at the end with Jane and her Mom. It was really sad. The one thing that surprised me was that Spinner was hardly in this episode at all. But I’m glad that they kept it about Jane, Lucas and her Mom. It’s such a serious issue, I don’t really see friends becoming involved all that much. Maybe she’ll tell Spinner later or something, when she’s ready. The subplot kind of sucked. Alli was being mean and annoying. I get that she doesn’t like Clare becoming the fashionable and smart and that she was still kind of jealous, but to kiss KC was just stupid and unrealistic. Like he says one nice thing to her so she automatically kisses him? Was Degrassi always like this? Lol. It just seems so dumb. One great thing about this episode: Peter mentioned Darcy. Okay so it was only like two seconds and it was because Clare was wearing her clothes, but still Peter said Darcy’s name and Mia looked jealous. HA Next weeks episode looks really stupid. I watch Skins so much these days (way more than Degrassi sadly) that I’m sure I’m going to have no tolerance for this storyline. Because you just know it’s going to end with Emma saying that she’ll never ever smoke pot ever again. Also it’s a college storyline. Although it’s only the 2nd college mainplot this season, which is really surprising. But I mean that in a good way. lol __________________ tessa&scott ♥ | |||

| A little later than usual, but still here. So here are my thoughts on the episode: Paula Brancati is a brilliant actress. The plot was handled well. I found it funny how they acknowledged that her name was Anastasia and she changed it, and yet the flashbacks still said "Janie-Bear" I also found it weird how all it took was for Jane to say "Why do you think it took so long for Dad to put me to bed?" to get Lucas to believe her. Even with the problems I had, I still really enjoyed it. It was one of the better episodes of the season. I felt really sad for Jane throughout the episode. It was really nice to see Holly J. in a non-aggressive role. I too would have liked seeing more of Spinner but I guess this was a family matter, so I understand why Spinner's role was so small, and why Lucas was involved so much. The Clare/Alli plot was a little lame. While Alli always likes to appear as the confident one, she showed that she has some major insecurities. I thought the bit at the end between Alli and Johnny was kind of cute. | |||

| The main plot was very, very disturbing, as it should've been. I liked how they incorporated the different relationships -- between Luke and Jane, the father and Isabella, etc -- that made it so complex. Paula carried it well. I laughed at Clare's slow-motion walk down the hallway; it was like a throwback to U Got the Look but 100 times tamer. I was waiting for one of them to say "Really? Cause it sounds more like you're jealous." The first subplot was terrible, though. __________________ . | |||

You know, Mr. Valieri would've saved himself a lot of trouble if he just put Jane's pajamas on the right way. Okay, that was awful. Anyway. Good episode in a string of good episodes and I hope Lucas makes his way back to the main cast. Love the brother/sister dynamic between the two, Jane and Lucas. Also, they didn't repair that big plothole in the first episode, Mr. Valieri wouldn't be calling Jane "Janie-bear," but Anastasia or Stacy-bear. And they even acknowledged that Jane changed her last name! Paula Brancati really knocked it out of the park with acting in this one, and Marc Minardi was good too. I didn't really like how the alumni football game was an afterthought, though. The subplot started off kinda weak, but it fell into place. Wasn't so much Alli's jealously but her still being hurt by the Johnny break-up. The kiss with KC was probably set-up for future plotlines.[/ __________________ Refreshing like a spring breeze. | |||

| Maybe Jane changed her name to "Jane" because that's what everyone called her even though she was *technically* named Anastasia. Anastasia ia a long name, I doubt they actually used that when casually speaking to her. __________________ tessa&scott ♥ | |||

| Well I heard Jane's mom call her Anastasia Jane Valieri(of vaugn I forgot what last name she used) but my point is Jane is actually her middle name so I don't find if that weird she changed her name to except, except why would she change her nae to something that her dad called her all the time? I just find that a little odd. Paula did an amazing job and I was excited fo her to get an intense A-plot because I feel she is one of the better if not the best actress on Degrassi right now. i felt so sorry for her, but I loved how Jane and Lucas grew closer throughout the episode. The B-plot was ok. Clare was way overdue for some new clothes, but they treated it the same way as Manny even though Clare just looks like a normal student now and now a "slut". And ever since Connor's episode I have thought of "Kalli" would be a good couple idea. Oh and I loved the Darcy reference, I hope she comes back next season considering she said she is only going to be gone 1 semester meaning she is planning on being back season 9! | |||

| Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Let's see..... Spin's one my favorite characters, but I'm pretty happy that he wasn't a major part of this episode. So often with Degrassi, a major plot line like this is used to further develop a romantic relationship and the fact that they not only didn't go that route, but instead used to further explore the sister/brother relationship with Jane and Lucas gives the show major points in my book. That said, Spin and Jay still provided me with one of my favorite moments in the episode in their brief time on screen. As mentioned, the Lucas/Jane stuff was a highlight of the episode. Marc and Paula have a nice chemistry together. I mentioned it after part one and I'll say it again, I hope we see more of Lucas in Season 9. I also really enjoyed that scene with Jane and Holly J, and how the latter, in her own unique way proved to be the final spark to get Jane to confront Lucas and her father. I do think that confrontation scene did end kind of suddenly, but I guess I can understand her father wanting to get the hell out of there as fast as he could. We had two different writers for these episodes, so I was a little worried that the tones of these two plots wouldn't mesh well. But, overall I think they did a good job in that area. As for the subplot, I think the main reason I enjoyed this episode more than part one was that this subplot was much better. Aislinn brings out the best in Melinda and I love watching that relationship on screen. And I like how that KC kiss didn't turn into a big deal. I have to admit they did throw a bit of a curve ball, as I figured this plot would revolve around Clare more than Alli. But, I'm okay with that. Oh and that little bit at the end with Johnny and Alli was among my favorite stuff we've seen with them. __________________ With her long hair falling And her eyes that shine like a midnight sun Oh-o she's the one, she's the one The avatar is all about the one and only Nekoshoujo | |||

| This two partner was my favorite of the season. (And Bad Medicine comes next) Part two was just as great as part one. They did an excellent job on this storyline and picked a great character and great actress to do it. Actually, everyone's acting was really good. They made the whole thing feel really realistic expecially by having both Jane and Lucas repress what happened to her when she was little. I pretty much liked all of Jane's interaction with all characters in this part. Especially the scenes with her mom and Lucas. The scene with her and Lucus confronting their father was awesome and the one with her and her mom crying and talking about what happened was really sad and well acted. But I was also really happy that she had a scene with Mia, too. I really want the show to go into more detail about their friendship before from Lakehurst. But it was nice to kind of know that even if Lucus isn't involved in his daughter's life much that she would still want his mom and sister to be. I love Spin/Jane too, but like mentioned, I am also glad they didn't have much interaction because we got to see more family scenes. I wasn't really a fan of the subplot. I don't know if it's because Alli and Claire seem so.....young or what. I guess it was different when Emma and co were in grade nine because I was like the same age as them at the time...I don't know. However, I did like the interaction with Alli and Johhny, but I will say that line where he said something like "I'm bad news, it's best you stay away from me" was just way too much. It sounded so unnatural and stupid and just that they were trying to hard with him or something.![]() | |||
