| WHY doesn't anyone post in these anymore!?!?!?!?!?!?! Ok so when I first saw the promo for this episode I was really nervous about it and I thought that I wasn't going to like it, but I actually did. Main plot: Well I adore Mellie's friendship so I liked seeing how close they really are in this episode. However, I don't think that them hooking up was necessary to show that they are too dependent on each other, but I still thought it was pulled off VERY well. And I thought that Ellie's sarcasm the next morning about that situation was funny, while Marco was all freaking out. I also thought the Paige/Ellie kiss was funny being that I like Paige/Ellie more as enemies then friends so I liked when Paige was all "EWW" about it and same with "I can't believe we lived with each other for a year without a murder". Overall the acting was really good and I expecially thought that Stacey did a good job when she starts to tear up and says "Well I guess were moving out". It's obvious that Marco and Ellie mean alot to each other and I just love them. Subplot: I am glad that Liberty won for valedictorian and I didn't mind this plot but so far I don't really see the chemistry between her and Damien. Maybe because I still find Damien to be extremely boring, I don't know. I thought it was sweet that Emma voted for Liberty and not her boyfriend. And BTW, Liberty looked beautiful throughout this episode. | |||

| I actually liked the subplot. Do I wish Damien were unattached? Yeah, because then we wouldn't have to go through another triangle, but it's nice to see someone attracted to Liberty for her brains, fire, and her beauty. It's also great to see Liberty conflicted over something. Plus, I think Sarah/Mazin have decent chemistry. Toby attempting to rescue Liberty was hilarious. Man, I'd rather much watch these Degrassi kids instead of the Lakehurst ones. The Mellie plot was enjoyable as well, though I'm not sure I believed everything. For example, Ellie getting the editor-in-chief position as a second-year while Eric has three years' experience under his belt? I'm not sure that's likely unless we learned that Ellie did some amazing news pieces and proved her worth. To me, that was a stretch that she would get it. I wasn't surprised by Eric's reaction because I was like, wha? lol. Additionally, when did Marco and Eric start to date? The writing prior to these eps could've been clearer, because the actual writing in THIS ep was top-notch. They remembered that Eric likes jazz and Hip-Hop the rabbit so they could've done better in previous eps for the bigger stuff (mainly when the switch from Marco finding Eric boring to interesting). I like Eric alright. They aren't as entertaining or interesting as Darco, but they're one of the more realistic pairings this season. Mellie kiss....surprisingly good. I liked the whole "dependent" storyline and how that actually played out. It WILL be great for them to get away, especially for Ellie, who realized it later than Marco that they were TOO close. That scene where she decides to move out was very emotional and well-acted. I think this is the best Marco ep since season 4 because of those very emotions. Paige looks great with darker hair, but I'm partial to the blonde too. Hmm. I didn't get why her and Griffin are dating. They really needed to fill in some holes there. Lauren's reaction to the Pellie kiss was soooo funny.Overall, I liked it! __________________ Steppin' out with a star, that star is you... 2010 | |||

| Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ellie getting the editing gig pissed me off. I enjyed the Ellie/Paige scenes more than the Ellie/Marco stuff, although that was fine too. Too much was made of the Ellie/Marco break-up. They lived together for all of nine months and the last I checked, they're still going to the same school and apparently have at least some classes together. Eh, whatever. Liberty and Damien...yeah....next.... Toby 'saving' Liberty was the highlight. Well, that and the ten-second black screen at the end of the episode. yes I'm going to beat that joke into the ground, deal with it ![]() __________________ credit to the one and only denisscsi January 10th... | |||

| Yeah I forgot to mention that scene with Liberty and Toby saving her was funny. ![]() I wonder where Marco and Ellie are moving now. We know that Paige is getting her own condo. But are Marco and Ellie moving back with their parents or getting their own places or what? | |||

| Ultimate Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I liked the episode! Watched it for a second time, this time on my HD CTV version. I'm still very satisfied with the A and B-plots. I think I appreciate the B-plot even more the second time around. I adored the Marco/Ellie interaction. It just felt like a really nice way to embrace all their history and tackle the subject of how you can get too dependent on a friend. I think it was a smart move to have them hook up. It doesn't bother me that they weren't intoxicated. I think that type of clingynes and sense of desperation is enough. I just totally buy the whole thing. It gets a little complicated when they throw Eric in there, but I understand the decision to include him as a wedge between the two best friends. I still don't like Eric and no this isn't me just being a lone crazy Devon appreciator. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it's the same thing Marco first saw, he was just really lame and boring. Agree that this should have been built up more. It kind of seems like Marco is just settling. Paige was memorable, as she always is. Sigh, I'm feeling pains as I worry that we are going to see less and less of Paige, Marco, and Ellie. I've always liked the "older class" more than the original "younger class." Onto a Liberty gush. Wow, I missed her. I wasn't feeling Season 6 and kind of breezed through that whole season. I don't really remember too much of her pregnancy storyline either, sorry Jiberty fans. I think I liked this episode because it reminded me of intelligent driven Liberty. The Liberty from Relax. The Liberty who wanted to do Ashley's morning video announcements. This whole subplot made me enjoy her more. Not that I never have, she's just always been a little on the whatever side for me. Damien/Liberty? Uh, I like it. It's nothing I'd ever be like gushing over couples-wise but I buy it. From what I understand about Season 6, she didn't go for him at first. I know on other message boards people were freaking out about that, talking about a lack of consitency or something. But it doesn't bother me. Maybe Liberty is finally moving on from JT. It's good. I'm sure she'll always care about him but she can date again, at least casually. I wonder if they will set something up where she starts to have like a survivor's guilt about JT. Agree about it being a shame that it's a whole other love triangle, hopefully it's handled correctly. Yeah, that whole thing makes me nervous, for a lot of reasons. /End Nicole's essay. ![]() ![]() | |||

| I really liked this episode. It was the first in a while that had a well-balanced and engaging A & B-plot. While I don't like the idea of Liberty caught in a love triangle, I don't really like Damien and Emma so it's not a huge disaster. I've always thought Damien and Liberty made sense personality wise and given that Damien dated Manny at some point it doesn't seem like Emma would self-destruct if she broke up with Damien and he started dating Liberty. Clearly the guy gets around. Marco and Ellie kissing completely skeeved me out just because you know at the end of the day, they're just friends and they were just trying to hang on to each other. But Marco's completely gay and Ellie knows that so it was just all kinds of wrong. On the other hand, the fact that Marco didn't necessarily want to stop, shows me that he's not ready to be with Eric. If he were still with Dylan, I doubt that kiss would have happened. I Paige. She brought just the perfect amount of humor to the episode and I loved how uncomfortable she looked talking to Marco and Ellie. The bacon was the best part!
