Really interested in the Hunter/Frankie plot tbh. A lot of people think she finds Hentai (Japanese anime porn) but I think she'll find a comic that glorifies suicide or self-harm. I remember in a video Q&A a while ago they said that their favorite scene to film together was really dramatic, and for some reason I feel like it's in this episode, so that would make sense I suppose.

Also, the Hunter plot, mostly because the Hollingsworths in all their dysfunctional glory intrigue me.

I don't care about the Jackogen plot.

Arlene maybe for hunter, so maybe I am interested. maya annoys me still, so do most of the sophomores tbh. I mostly care about the senior plots, but miles and hunter interest me a lot along with the rest of the hollingsworths.

"A" Plot: Now, while I'm not particularly fond of Maya, I like the fact that they are bringing these Cam/Miles nightmares into the story. it is a chance for Maya, Zig, and Miles to potentially get good development. However, I will be the first one to say that it's absolutely absurd that Miles doesn't know Cam yet and that Zig's feelings regarding the situation haven't really been explored. Hopefully the writers approach this tactfully instead of using this to set up ANOTHER relationship.

We don't need any more relationship drama. We need character development.

"B" Plot: Now, while I'm glad that they showed Imogen cause she is one of the few characters on the show currently which I like, I wasn't too fond of today's episode. In all honesty, I feel a little salty. It seems like Imogen has been getting these "okay" relationship plotlines and I just want something new.

"C" Plot: Always love seeing more of Frankie and Winston. Frankie is proving to be a pretty solid character. I hope she gets a lot more screen time in the future. It's always good to see Winston and Hunter too cause honestly they don't get nearly enough screen time.

Side Note: When will Jenna and Connor be back? I hope they don't do them like they did Dave cause if they only show up for grad, that'll be some b.s.

i don't love imogen/jack but their scenes were cute i guess. i thought the eli/imogen friendship scenes were pretty adorable!

frankie is a pretty interesting character, i like her. i loved the plot with hunter though, finding those drawings, i kinda hope they further explore that. i don't see him as suicidal but maybe violent or something. i think that'd be an interesting storyline.

maya drove me NUTS this episode, her unecessary worry for miles is irritating! he doesn't give a crap about her and i was glad when he yelled at her to get out of his house! loved seeing tristan caring for him.

however, it think if its part of a deeper storyline involving cam then thats a good thing because its been a long time coming. i just hope it actually goes somewhere for zaya.

It's definitely about Cam. She even said near her panic attack that she can't let it happen again. In fact, it's always been about Cam, since she met Miles in the first place. She said she couldn't be around guys like him when she was at the pool, and she said it again when he tricked Zig with the fake gun. It's always been about Cam and it won't go away unless she gets the help she needs. And if this brings forth a Zaya plot I will be really, REALLY angry... because I don't like relationships stemming from places as vulnerable as mental illness. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against Zaya or anything, but this is probably the worst time for it to happen.

Anyway, time to talk about the episode itself. I accidentally deleted my message so I'm starting from scratch. I really loved this one, too. Probably my fave from the season. It just keeps getting better IMO.

A-plot: Yeah, I've said most of this before, Maya obviously has some sort of Generalized Anxiety Disorder or PTSD. She won't get better unless she actually does get help, which will hopefully happen soon. I hope she really tells Miles what's going on because he really should know so he can feel crap for how he's treating her. I can't figure out the future of Zoe and Maya right now because they've proven to be decent friends, but Zoe's still mean to her. Then, she helped make sure Maya was safe during her anxiety attack, only seconds after berating her for "slacking off". I can't tell what to think. I don't really know. I just know that I enjoy these two characters' interactions and I want them to continue. And I'm really happy the writers are focusing on Maya's psyche instead of her relationship status. I just want to wait for the rest of the fandom to understand that. Maybe I shouldn't read the Facebook comments for this episode because I'm sure I'll scream and/or cry.

B-plot: The Jackogen plot was nice too. The writers haven't really touched on polyamory at all, and it's much more common in LGBT relationships and among more open-minded people, I'd say. Jack fits that mold perfectly, and I wasn't surprised one bit that she was interested in polyamory. I'm just a little upset at how they ended the episode. They made it out like polyamory was a bad thing that only people insecure about their relationships pursue. That's not the case at all. Plenty of polyamorous relationships work, though it's obviously not for everyone. Although I really like how the couple is blossoming. They're good together and I think Jack is bringing out Imogen's natural curiosity.

C-plot: I think my new power couple is Harlene or whatever it'd be called. They're naturally adorable and Arlene is pretty cool so far. I'm kinda upset that Shay and Lola are kinda mean (I saw this a bit from the latter, though). It's kinda a common thing for people to do, anyway. I know so many people that just randomly made fun of others in their class without the intent of being mean but with the intent of bolstering their own self-esteem. Obviously there's some residual damage in this regard. Kudos to Frankie for taking the high road. And woohoo, I knew it wasn't hentai. Five stars for me. Kinda hoping we see more of these two together. I'm sure we will, anyway. Though I expected some more apprehension from Arlene because Frankie confessed she had never been nice to her. Maybe Arlene doesn't know she's the target of abuse from the cheerleaders, though I'd assume that's not the case.

I'm kinda curious about next week's episode.

I'm not feeling Frankie tbh. I've disliked her ever since she was an ******* to Zoe during her assault/trial, and never really apologized for that. I know she's only 14, but I'd like it to be something that she realizes isn't actually Zoe's fault.

Maya is annoying but I feel bad for her here... Cam's suicide obviously screwed her up, and she seems to hold blame for what happened hence "I can't let it happen again." O don't find that to be unnecessary concern, since there does seem to be something going on there with Miles.

Tristan is obnoxious as hell.

I see Eli is just one of the many Degrassi residents that graduated and started working at The Dot just so the show could keep him around.

This timeline is confusing to me... It's Spring now, right? Why are they starting Power Cheer so late in the year?

A-Plot. Oh Maya. Damn, she lost it bad during this episode. Breaking into Miles's house and hacking his Facerange was beyond the pale. Throughout it all, I did understand her motivation, she still obviously blames herself for what happened to Cam and pretty much will do anything to avoid feeling that way again. Olivia's performance was great here, I hope she came around and started to like Maya again. Of course, the fandom will probably let Maya have it in favor of Triles. Speaking of them, they grated in this episode, Tristan especially. I wanted Zig or Grace to deck him. Shouldn't you be thanking Maya for making Yates go away so you can hook up with Miles? SMH.

Zoe and Maya's relationship is still this frenemy thing and it comes off pretty good here, there's the mutual respect but their personalities just kind of bounce off each other. Glad to see Zoe help Maya with her anxiety attack.

Also appreciated the misdirection of Grace and Zig "relaxing" lunch activity.

B-Plot. Yeah, they did kind of crap on polyamory a little. It's definitely not for me, but I thought they could've presented Jack's side better and not use it so much for Jack not willing to commit. I guess we're several years from polyamory being treated more respectfully, though I understand the hesitation, I mean it's a show for teenagers. The scene of Imogen interrupting Jack teaching a little girl ballet class was gold.

And I really missed seeing Imogen/Eli together. I wish they did more of them as a couple, but you know Eli's crazy.

C-Plot. Aw, Shay and Lola sucked in this. But Frankie didn't. I really like Frankie and the actress who plays her, there's such an ease and she really feels like a real person. Hunter to me actually didn't really come off as unhinged here, just kinda of misunderstood though I see how Frankie and Winston could be alarmed by the comic. And Hunter gave some sound advice to Frankie; I had forgotten that Frankie also likes comics and she realized she's more in line with Arlene as opposed to the cheerleaders.

So all in all, a good episode.

Hunter seems protective of his sister, going so far as to comment about how she’s being taken advantage of by her ‘friends’ ( - not his exact words). The only thing I have issue with is HOW EASY it is to go to the ‘Hunter sets the school on fire cause he said he would’. I don’t know.

Maybe I still just want to have Frankie be in charge of the fire just because it’s not predictable as much as it is for Hunter and Hunter essentially sparked the idea of the fire last night into her head. Either one could do it, really. They both have their own reasons. Frankie for being ousted and used (OomfChat, Zoe not being there for her, etc). Hunter for his grudge against the cheerleaders (the comic he made is not even subtle + he made a cheerleader specifically that resembles Lola/that pink short hair). Hunter wants to be a hero, too, so ‘destroying’ the squad may very well be a goal for him and it’d impress his new potential girlfriend (from his POV). I know Hunter seems to have more pointing to him as the suspect; but I still want Frankie to be in charge.

Hell, the best twist would be both twins being involved. It's supposed to be the more dramatic scene that the actors - for Frankie and Hunter - have taken for this Season.

Imogeli. Goddamn. I didn't know I missed them at all until last night. I don't want Eli and Imogen because of Eli, but uugggh, the scenes at The Dot. My heart was not ready. The fact Eli flat out said 'love is a lie' made me delusional, thinking that there'd be some make-out scene or something else between Imogen and Eli.

Jack's Tumblr speech was annoying af. Congrats, writers, you just said something really dumb and misleading by assuming that monogamy is only 'heteronormative'(that term makes my skin crawl). There are non-hetero couples that practice monogamy. How the hell is that only reserved for straight couples...?? There are also hetero-couples that aren't even monogamous (whether it's open, polyamory, or the swinger lifestyle. Swingers only switch partners with the other couple involved; but that doesn't apply to only hetero-couples).
I guess the only thing I can add to differentiate between polyarmory and swinging is that polyamory involves loving more than one person, not just banging them. Swingers have sex with other couples, but they don't fall in love with them/keep it purely physical.

Maya's storyline: Wow. I wasn't expecting her to accept the call from Zig to 'seek help'. I was also not expecting her to have a panic attack (shout-out to Paige from Banting College)! Never saw the sneak peek, so I didn't realize Grace was the one who hacked the account, lol. I'm still seeing people blaming Maya for hacking his FaceRange. Pffft. Also, Maya wasn't the only one going to Miles' house. The detractors can step back. I was also secretly happy she barged in cause Miles did that **** to her and it was time for some payback.
