Well, Mia and JT weren't really together for very long, maybe Eli and his (past) girlfriend were together for a while. I mean, Liberty and JT weren't even together and I think maybe Liberty felt the effects more than Mia? I dunno, I'm rambling now...point in that matter, I think that he's really shook up about it, but I agree, this can't be his only secret...

I think I missed something, beacuse I have no idea what you meant by that. But I didn't watch season 7 of degrassi save for few episodes.
I think it can be his secret, or at least a part of it. I doubt he would joke about something like that and it would explain the shark in the water promo. I do believe there's more to it though. Why would they give it all away.

If it's true and not some joke, then that really would explain the card and why he was obviously not surprised.. cant believe i forgot about that

He's young now, he probably was even younger when he was with that giirl, especially if he's doing so well in everyday life. He jokes, he has friends, goes to concerts. Some time must have passed if he's able to act this way. Could he really feel that strongly about somebody at such a young age? But even if he didn't LOVE that girl, it must have hit him pretty hard. And even if his feelings were stronger than simple like, well Manny loved Craig and ended up with Jay perfectly happy and in love.

Theres no doubt in my mind that Eli has feelings for clare, but I mean the death of a boyfriend/girlfriend is something im sure you cannot get over, like ever. Especially if you take on the responsibility for it. However, the power of postitive thinking is key! lol everything will work itself out

The death card means change, or well its one of its meanings! maybe it means his feelings are changing? like, he is falling for Clare and thats a big change since his girlfriend did die? speculation speculation speculation, ugh it kills me.

I hope you're right The speculations are driving me insane too. I dont wanna speculate, but i cant help it. I cant wait until i see it, i have to figure it out in my head first
