I feel like I should post in this thread cause I started up a Marc/Derek thread once upon a time. And the fuzzheads do have a friendship appreciation thread yeah? I think D.'s going to be a regular next season so he does need a thread...although I still think we're all going to be posting in the main couples threads.

Yeah the fuzzheads do have an appreciation thread. And we will probably see alot more of Danny in season8 so yeah.

Yeah, I always loved Danny, even when he was first introduced on the show. He looked so cute and young and I always found the comments he made to Manny in season4 really funny.

This kid went pretty far in the character survivor considering how incredibly active his thread is. I think I saw one current poster on board say they were a fan of his. Anyone else?

I liked Danny and Derek (before the change in Season 8), and I never disliked Danny on his own. I wish they did more with his character.

TORONTO, April 28 /CNW/ - A familiar face will be showing up in the The Space beginning May 2 when Toronto-born actor Dalmar Abuzeid joins Kara and Drew as a new host in the TVOKids' afternoon program block for children aged 6 to 11.

Dalmar played Liberty's little brother on Degrassi: The Next Generation, but in his new role as a TVOKids host in The Space, Dalmar takes on the role of older brother bringing stories from the field to kids across Ontario, including one kid very close to him.

"When I auditioned to be the new TVOKids host, I ran as many ideas as I could past my secret ace - my seven-year-old little brother - to see if I was on the right track," Dalmar confides. "To have him and now a whole team of inspiring experts to work with in the field makes me want to bring 110% to the table. My plan is just to have fun and be honest with the kids."

For Dalmar, who has also appeared on TV programs such as Zoe Busiek's Wild Card and Majority Rules, being a TVOKids host brings new challenges. "This is a new side of performing for me so I'm excited to hit the ground running," says Dalmar. "I look forward to the whole experience of being a TVOKids host and meeting different people, visiting new places, and exploring interesting stories."

Dalmar is also looking forward to adding to TVO's long history of providing quality, educational programming for young learners that's fun and safe. "I remember how I would rush home from school and catch shows like Arthur and Polka Dot Shorts," says Dalmar. "Now that I look back, I can really appreciate the programming I grew up on. Without a doubt, TVO stays true to being the most educational channel for kids."

You can catch Dalmar in TVOKids' The Space, weekdays between 3:30 pm and 7 pm, on TVO.

Working on my fan art for DTNG's 10th birthday and I'm trying to find some good promo stills of Danny. Preferably with a white background, but I can't seem to find anything outside of season 8, so a light background would also be awesome so I don't kill myself with the pen tool. I'd really like one when he's young, like when he first started out on the show. Anyone got anything?

He's one of the cast members who really grew up on the show. The change isn't quite so dramatic with some of them.

I got curious about him. I remember him from the Flashpoint episode "Run, Jamie, Run." Since then he's been in the Murdoch Mysteries episode "Murdoch in Ragtime." I've always been meaning to watch that show! He is credited as Felix in Pompeii.
