Thanks for starting. The opening post looks great. I like this group, especially when the writers and producers remember there's others in it beyond the twins.

I was going to come in here and ask if anyone thought this class was a bit meh compared to the rubber room class. They were the rebels right? Edgy with the gang drama...
Then I remember how much trouble the gaming club stirred up. Hunter played ringleader but they were all involved and ran quite fearlessly towards trouble. The ability to be anonymous online helped but still...dangerous. __________________

I think Frankie, Lola and Shay are a good group that have a lot of potential to keep the show going once Maya's group leaves. Hunter's a good character and I like Hunter/Yael together. I'm sure being paired with Hunter will get Yael a lot more screen time. The others they haven't done enough with yet. They didn't exactly make Baaz likeable in what we've seen so far and I couldn't tell you much about Vijay.
So I think Frankie and friends are about equal while Hunter's are meh so far. Last edited by ihavealife2uknow; 10-17-2016 at 09:49 PM |

I have to agree with your first assessment. It's not that Frankie's class doesn't have potential because as ihavealife2uknow mentioned, Frankie/Shay/Lola/Hunter are all interesting. But as a whole, the two groups don't mesh so it's difficult to think of them as one big class the way the soon-to-be seniors are. They're far from ready to take over and I worry the next two seasons won't be much better in that regard. Especially with Maya, Zoe and Miles still around.

I could see Vijay making friends with Frankie's group easily, and Yael's already had a scene with Frankie but yeah I agree I'm not sure at the moment if I could see these 2 groups blending at some point the same way Maya's class currently does.

I think they'll figure out something to get them more connected, with the twins being the key.

Yes! It is time the two groups mingle more. Maybe some rivalries need to develop too, like that power struggle Manny and Paige had. __________________

I'm definitely up for mingling of the two groups. I really enjoyed the stuff we saw with Lola and the Gamers, Yael, in particular. I hope we see more of that mixing in S4.

Who also has joined this class? Esme, Rasha, Saad, I'm happy with those additions. I'm kinda iffy on the guys if we're being honest but I have strong favorites in the females with Rasha, Esme, and Lola.

Saad took a big step forward this past season and I imagine Hunter will get a pretty juicy story line at some point in the next two seasons. The weak links are the almost non existent Baaz and Vijay. They'll have their work cut out for them with those two.

Hmmm I feel like I should use this thread. I wonder what everyone's plans will be after high school. We can guess what the gamer group would study...
one of them has got to decide they don't want to do it anymore. Develop an interest outside tech. At some point that group is going to splinter. __________________

That's a good point and I think we started to see hints of that in Season 4.

And it was cool seeing Lola, Frankie, and Shay branch out. I was such a fan of that trio when they were introduced but it was time for them to make some new friends and discoveries.
