I have been fangirling over that picture all day. It's sad actually...

I really love this new look of hers. I hope she keeps it short. It really suits her. She looks much more mature like this.

Add me please. I just adore Clare and Aislinn! Finally, a character with morals! It's such a refreshing change to see a character who isn't so easily influenced by the people around her. And Aislinn just does a wonderful job. I'm glade Clare didn't end up like those other one-shot characters who mysteriously vanish. It's especially annoying when those characters are siblings of the main characters (Gavin's adopted sister). And now Clare's a main character herself! Yay!

I like her view on Johnny. We've got the same opinion on him, that he's scum! Good thing she can see through him. She's the voice of reason, and I hope she stays that way. I hope these "big changes" for her this season won't be too bad. The writers really messed with their female characters by giving them terribly dark storylines (rape, thoughts of suicide, abortion, teen pregnancy, sexting, ugh!). I really hope then don't ruin Clare. Allia's the one the writers should stick with if they want to ruin characters and not make them likeable.

Me too! I wasn't too happy with Alli in those episodes either, but Clare was dead on. Johnny wasn't treating her right and there was no way she should have forgiven him for sending those photos. I loved when she was listing all his bad qualities! It was like, "right on Clare!".

I love that Clare's the voice of reason and honestly I think she's going to stay that way, at least with Alli. But I am not against seeing a darker side of her. I think it would be nice to really showcase Aislinn's acting talent with a deep storyline. But I don't want Clare to be ruined in the process. She's very original both in personality and in style from the other Degrassi girls. I'd hate to see her loose that special quality she has.

Well I think that Alli is just like any other girl who allows their bfs to treat them like crap. But IA with what you guys are saying about Clare - she is a really good friend.

As a Veronica Mars fan myself I thought this was pretty awesome. I can actually picture her in a role like that. I think she's a good enough actress that she could handle it. She'd be playing the opposite of Clare though.

Hmmm....while contemplating the idea of Aislinn as my favorite blonde pixie dectective, I'll pass on a little bit of news. A few days ago I mentioned in Melinda's thread that she posted on her Twitter that she's starring in a Disney movie. Well, Aislinn confirmed on her Twitter that Melinda won't be the only Degrassi star in that movie.

Not sure about Aislinn, but Melinda has a lead role (which could mean plenty of things). This was her tweet mentioning that she got the role.

yup! I was thinking she might have a best friend or rival type role. I think it would be interesting to see her opposite Melinda like as a rival or foil since it would be the opposite of Clare and Alli.

One thing that bothered me about Clare was in the episode where Allia intercoursed Johnny, and when Clare found out, she was just quiet and continued studying. I know that's a normal reaction, and I'd be okay with that, but they didn't bring up Clare's thoughts again in the episode; it was just Johnny and Allia for the rest of the episode, if I recall correctly.

If I'm remembering that episode correctly, Alli tells Clare what happened and then says that it was fine and there is nothing to worry about. So Clare probably accepted that, and didn't want to be judgemental. Then when Alli starts to show signs that she's not fine with it (ie she leaves in the middle of that test saying that she's sick), Clare comes to check on her as soon as class is over, and is there for that emotional scene when Alli needs to talk to somone. I don't see what else Clare could have done?? The episode was about Alli and her relationship with Johnny. Clare is the friend Alli can talk to, not a source of conflict.

Okay, that makes sense. I only fully saw the episode once since I was just disgusted with Allia. But I like the eventual follow up when she tells Clare that Johnny was with other girls before, and Clare's reaction was touching, but Allia stopped her before she could really voice her opinion by saying that she'd get Johnny back. I'm just glad that trainwreck is over. I'm sure down the line they won't rehash Johnny/Allia. It's not like Degrassi to bring old couples together over and over even though they consistently break up, right? Edit: Oh yeah, and Allia tells Jenna that her first time with Johnny was special and perfect. Really, Allia? Really?

So that picture of Aislinn has a caption reading that she had to wait to get it cut. Do the Degrassi kids have to get permission from their bosses to change their look? And why after filming?

Didn't Raymond get his hair cut in the middle of the season? I don't think that episode's aired yet in USA, but the earliest clip I can remember seeing his hair short was the one where Anblah and Savgesh are twirling around in some medieval costumes or whatever that was. Something homosexual.

And there is that promo with the close ups. I expected to see Raymond's hair like that from the beginning of season 9, but it seems it won't be until later, which make sme not understand Aislinn' short hair comment. Maybe Raymond broke the rules and had to spend an hour in the hole to learn.
