Reason We Like Ashley and Ellie's Friendship

1. Because they dont Judge each other.
2. Because they don't call each other names.

Though I was never the Ashley/Ellie type in high school (I was a combo of Liberty and Emma, which isn't too great), I love watching these two interact. Some of my favorite moments include:
Ashley telling Ellie that change is good when she kept insisting that Marco go with her on dates
Ashley saying that she didn't get it when Ash changed back to a prep (so mature compared to Jimmy and Spinner's reactions)
Ellie sticking up for Ash in "Rock and Roll High School"...real musicians coming through

I hope these two stay friends for a while.

For me in HS (way 5 years ago) I was that girl who was friends with everyone. I ate lunch with my close friends, then would go eat with my "goth" friends not that that is what they were. They wore black that was it. So I think that is why I love them together. They don't care what the masses think.

I love at the end of Drive when Ellie says that Ashley doesn't need a piercing to impress her. Their friendship is one of my favorites on the show.

the one and only thing i didnt like about how the got become friends is the writters fault. just cause u dress one way doesnt always mean u jsut become friends....

I'm a lot like ellie and ashley, those were the type of people I hung out with in high school.

I agree with you, I don't like how they had ashley change her image just to be friends with ellie, it's not all about how someone looks. It makes someone look like a poser or just trying to be someone they're not.

That is sooo me i eat lunch with 7 different tables everyday its so crazy i barely have time to eat b/c i socialize too much Yea i have a bunch of goth friends but some i used to be friends with are now in a gang so they call me a preppy-whore, it makes me mad but its iight , anyways yea so another reason is that

thats great... I think that HS is whatever u make it to be..... I will add u reason on monday... Im house sitter and they have a MAC and for the love of god i cant figure out how to multi-task on it.....

i love this friendship. I love how they actually listen to each other. Like when Ash was friends with Paige (dont get me wrong i looove paige), Paige never really LISTENED to her you know, and when she did she always managed to find a way to argue with her. I love how she doesnt have to defend herself to Ellie. I love how accepting these two are. And thankfully ash dumped the whole goth look, and Ellie didn't care you know. Which is real. It shows the real depth and meaning to this friendship. It shows that appearence is nothing when it comes to friends.

I love the Ash and Ellie friendship, I wish they would show it more. I love that they're honest with each other like in RRHS, when Ash had just finished reading her poem and was like tell me the truth because I know you're going to tell me anyway, or something like that. That was great that they were honest with each other. I actually think Ellie kinda broke Ash out of her shell, so to speak.
