Exactly. Her being shoved in our faces makes me dislike her even more, but it's not the reason why I dislike her in the first place. Her character is just so unrealistic to me and she never gets repercussions for anything she does. It's always justified. She's practically perfect and I don't find her relateable at all.

Same here! Especially because I have OCD and can't stand whenever people touch my stuff without my consent. I find it strange how Eli was so quick to forgive Clare. Not only did she rearrange his locker, but she also broke into his room. Problem or not she completely invaded his privacy. It's not like they were on good terms when she did it either.

i think i finally pinned my dislike of clare at the moment.

i hate how she completely discards julia. like, obviously julia was extremely important to him. she seemed like she just became part of his family and she really could careless about her.

first in the first part of the season eli tells her he needs time and she's like "ok" then all of a sudden she's like "i hope your over your dead girlfriend cause i want you now" and then her complete disregard for her this week was sickening.

That's what bothered me the most too. Of course a lot of things about Clare bother me... but that was truly the worst. It really goes to show how Clare's generous and caring nature is a facade. She's selfish. With her parents, she was being selfish too. I actually can't believe how much they're catering to her -- so now they'll be sharing two homes instead of one? Not to mention the cost of keeping the house. It's a terrible arrangement for them... but as long as Clare's happy!

i ship fitz/clare.

to be honest, the only real time i found eclare enjoyable for me was when fitz was around. when he's not around they're a little too whiny and lovey dovey for my liking.

i really can't decide how i feel about clare anymore. i'm almost indifferent to her at this point. like, right after every episode she's in i'm like in prime dislike mode then a few days later i'm just like "meh, she's not so bad" It's weird cause at the beginning of the boiling point she was my favorite character (well, besides fiona but anywho...) and my liking of her just slowly dwindled away.

it's sad cause i have nothing against aislinn, i actually think she's a more then capable actress (i think all the degrassi stars right now aside from maybe 1 or 2 are decent actors) but they are just butchering her character right now. i miss the clare who stood up to the shep. who stood up to KC. who stood up to jenna. what happened to that girl? i feel like she turns into a pile of goo around eli. which brings me back to why i like eclare better when fitz is around. i feel like he makes them both stronger...i don't know if that's the right word.

No I ship Flare too. My dislike of a certain character doesn't refrain me from shipping a pairing which they are included in. I still can ship them with people. Like Crash for instance. I hate Ashley, but I love Craig and Ashley together.

I agree, I like Aislinn. She's really cute and seems like a sweet girl so I don't have anything against her, I just don't like Clare. Aislinn seems a lot less conservative than Clare which is one quality in Clare that I don't like.

ITA. Everything has to always be about Clare and pretty much all of the surrounding characters have to cater to her needs, regardless whether or not it's inconvenient for them. The house arrangement is just ridiculous and unrealistic. Can they even afford to keep the old house?

I agree about not letting your dislike for a character melt into disliking the actor/actress. They're two completely different people, it's just hard because the real person and the fake person look exactly the same.

Clare is such an angel. Where breaking and entering would be a crime, she's gets rewarded for doing it. Seriously, one minute Eli is yelling at her for throwing all his crap in the trash and then he's marching into her house and telling her not to give up on him? When will it ever end?

It's so typical, though. Clare always gets away with everything. Like the stink bomb. And not wearing her uniform. And all the times she gave Eli some ultimatum that she would report him to Simpson unless... (fill in the blank). And she gets away with constantly doing the opposite of what she preaches but no one ever calls her out on it. It's exhausting.

Anyway, on the topic of shipping Clare in certain pairings -- I ship Jenna/Clare. I think they're adorable and Clare would actually be interesting to me if she liked girls. Too bad it'd never happen.
