Yeah exactly. It was like she didn't even care about your beliefs. Did she really think that once she told Eli she wanted to have sex that he was going to say, "Totally! Lets go to my room!" She was acting crazy and didn't even stop to think about whether or not it was the right choice. I thought her wanting to have sex with Eli was pretty stupid. I knew they weren't going to do it anyway.

I know right? I honestly don't understand why she was so shocked he was a virgin. Like give me a break. & Yes it was the name of Joey's ex-wife/Craig's mom and I agree. It really isn't hard to come up with first names.

I agree. Her, Alli and Eli pretty much have absolutely nothing in common. I would be able to tolerate her dating either Connor or Wesley. I used to ship her with Connor in Season 8. I agree that it would be realistic and in real life those would be the only guys she could get. No real life Clare would be able to score a guy like KC or Eli who fell for her the second they saw her.

I think Eli is actually more mature than she is. I know he's older, but since she's been through so much () and is always giving all of this spot on advice, I thought she would totally be on his level. At least he was responsible, what with his parents promoting sexual activity and all.

That's another point. Why were KC and Eli so instantly attached to her? It's really sad how the friendship between Connor and Clare was over and has never been mentioned again. Is he even coming back?

Well, I can say one thing. I can't see how someone could have watched that and at least somewhat noticed that Clare has very Sue-ish tendancies these days. Her "counselling" Eli and being instantly forgiven for sticking her nose in his private business again just set off a bright pink Mary-Sue bell in my head.

Totally! I mean, she broke into his room and it was mentioned in passing. The only reason it was barely legal is because his dad let her and Adam in the house. Clare knows EVERYTHING. I mean, I've heard of hoarding, but she automatically knows how to deal with it? Please. This is getting way too ridiculous for me. At least we know we won't be seeing her again until February.

So. Let me get this straight. Clare has a pretty major role in all eight episodes before the winter hiatus? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? And we still have yet to see Riley or Anya or Zane or Owen at all. And what about Bianca? She's been on the show since the beginning of S10 and we still know next to nothing about her. I am so sick of having Clare's stupid drama shoved down my throat.

I still can't believe her absurd jealousy of Eli's dead ex-girlfriend. It's honestly despicable. Clare is jealous of someone who's dead. WTF??? And the way it's portrayed, it's like we're supposed to feel sorry for Clare because she feels threatened by a dead girl and not see how awful and selfish that is.

And she continues to be a terrible friend to Adam. Clare's only connection to Adam is that she can whine to him about Eli. But once things with Eli are good, she completely forgets that Adam exists. Again with the selfishness.

It's really sad. They add Zane and Owen to the credits and for what? I guess they'd probably use the excuse "the actors are busy."

I think the writers really need to realize that not everyone likes Clare. Before this season, she didn't have so many fans and they shouldn't use that to their advantage now. They never used to do that with certain characters in the early seasons.

It's really sick how Clare talks about Julia like she actually knew her or something. She's like her worst enemy just because she was with Eli first and had a strong relationship with him. I think they should present that kind of behavior as a serious problem, not an "obstacle" in a teen relationship. Eli and Clare both have serious problems, and I think they should both be in therapy. I don't think many teens have to deal with issues like this, and I don't think they would be supporting each other this much so soon in the relationship. It's like they're in love!

I was surprised to see Adam and Clare talking at all, but of course it involves Eli. She is definitely a fair weather friend, and I don't understand how she's changed so much and no one says anything about it. It probably stems from the fact that she doesn't even talk to the people who were there for her before she was all cool and confident anymore.

Clare really pissed me off in this episode. She broke into Eli's room and then cleaned out his locker without his consent or even to his knowledge. Of course she gets no repercussions at all. Yet again, another one of Little Miss Perfect's wrongdoings are justified. Apparently Saint Clare has the ability to cure diseases because now Eli's hoarding problem is officially gone forever.
Perfect post. I completely agree. I'm tired of her being shoved down our throats 24/7. I really really hope that this is the last we see of her for about 10 episodes, but I'm not holding my breath.

Ugh I know right? Of course it's natural to be jealous of your current boyfriends ex... when they're alive and breathing. She acts as if Julia is magically going to resurrect from the dead and run to Eli. I think they are intentionally portraying it as if we are supposed to feel sorry for her because all of the Eclare fans hate Julia. Which I find hilariously pathetic.

Yes and of course it's never acknowledged. They portray Clare as if she's this great friend, always giving advice, but whenever she gets a boyfriend she ignores her friends of the opposite sex. (Connor and now Adam)

I've tolerated Clare through all of season 10, and I'll admit, I have a soft spot for Eli/Eclare. But now I'm just getting sick of it. Her character is not interesting. The whole thing in Love Lockdown was just stupid. I didn't care about the divorce/rebellion/whatever, the whole thing was stupid (along with every other thing that happened in that episode...). I've seen about 6 minutes of Umbrella and I have ZERO interest in watching the rest of it. That last scene with Eli and Clare was unbelievable. Hoarding? WTF? This show...

My sister and I have been complaining about the lack of Anya and Riley! I'm not even a huge Riley fan because I don't love Argiris's acting, but there hasn't been a single scene with him in it all season! And I love Anya now. I guess we finally get more of her next week, which is nice. Though honestly, I really, really would not mind if Owen fell off the face of the earth.
Still. 8 Clare episodes?! I didn't realize she was going to be playing a part in Halo (hate some of these episode titles, btw). Uuuugggh. As a nerdy, kind of socially awkward girl, I want to like Clare, but I don't. I don't have anything in common with her. I doubt anyone in the fandom can relate much to her. That coupled with the fact that she is not a compelling character at all...why is she one of the stars of this season again?

I'm guessing it's because of Eclare's popularity. It's all, like, 70% of fandom wants to talk about. More Eclare = more people watching = more ratings.

Unfortunately, those of us who dislike Clare, Eli, and/or Eclare are very much in the minority right now.

i kinda wish they would realize that the hype is making people like her less. i loved clare in the beginning of s10 but now i'm so sick of seeing her.

but i guess that's kind of hypocritical in a way because i wish fiona, adam, and wesley would be in every episode lol.

while i'm super annoyed with her character right now i'm glad next week she's going to interact with someone who isn't eli or her parents again. even if it only is adam.

i can't wait for alli to come back so that she can interact with someone who isn't eli and HOPEFULLY get a storyline that isn't completely over the top and dramatic (unnecessarily so) like she's been getting.

Her being in practically every episode isn't even the main reason I dislike her now; it's just because she (and Eli) don't make sense. Their plotlines are ridiculous and they basically cut off Adam when they are together. Not to mention every time there is some type of issue or Clare does something completely out of line (umm hello breaking into his room?), it's magically resolved or forgotten.

It's a good thing we all have a place to vent
