Oh whoa, I was just over on the-N website. They have these flashing pictures of Craig getting beaten up. It almost looks comedic. The N has some bad advertising/marketing skills.

The worse one has to be the one that made it look like Sean was actually going to choose between Emma and Ellie. Gave Eman fans some real hope. Oh yeah, and the one that suggested that Manny would have an important role in ND. That one really bugged me.

Okay, before I post more avis, I just have to get something off my chest. I'm a little bit bitter about what I read over at the C&B's. Maybe I'm just a little bit sensitive but I'm not liking how a certain C&B criticized my avis a few days ago (the aa of the month ones). I don't see how saying how my avi ruined your love for John Lennon has anything to do with making an anti-crash arguement. It's getting a bit personal. I don't give a **** what you say about the show or the couple. But like the others who work on avatars, I put time and effort into mine. I just don't get how criticizing someone's avatar has anything to do with criticizing the couple. But if you don't like my crash avatars, please at least have the guts to say it over here. Notice how I'm saying criticize. There is a difference between criticizing and critiqueing. Now, I don't criticize your work but if I did, you better believe it would be constructive criticism on artistic merit and not some off hand comment about how my icon made you hate your favorite song. But please don't critique my avis anywhere but where I post them and please make it constructive criticism. I wouldn't do anything less for an avatar I hate, whether it be because of the style or because it's of a show or couple I dislike. Because that's the polite thing to do. Avatars aren't just about the show they are something someone put their creativity and time into, and then it becomes personal expression.

We all work very hard on avis, banners, videos, etc., and you should be respectful of someone's time and effort. That was something kind kaleidocat did for us, and I speak for myself when I say that while it was a group effort, it was a display of kaleidocat's talents. I have yet to see an AA or anyone else make fun of someone else's time and effort, and I am disappointed. The AA of the month thing was a fun activity that I initiated for Crash fans to show their appreciation for this couple, and that's what kaleidocat did. I'd have no problem with a C&B doing a similar activity. What I do have a problem with is the insults for someone's dedication to a couple. That remark is not only off-topic, but not respectful of an FF member period. As kaleidocat said, if you don't like the avi, it's better to give constructive criticism. It's her opinion if John Lennon is appropriate. I really, really hope this does not happen again.

I am so appreciative of your work, kaleidocat, and I'm sorry you had to read that.

This isn't an attack on the C&Bs. I know you guys from other threads/ships and I enjoy talking with you. But that comment wasn't cool.

Oh, yeah I should say that too - I didn't post that as an attack on the C&B's. It was a single comment. It really has nothing to do with if you like or dislike the couple. Like I said, I took it personal. It struck a nerve, made me kind of insecure about posting avis, and then I got angry. Has nothing to do with crash, except that it was the subject matter. I have no problem with constructive criticism, if it pertains to the avatar. I can take it. But I can't take reading a comment about how my avi made you hate your favorite song in a place I wasn't expecting to read it. And it didn't feel very constructive to me.

It wasn't at all constructive, nor was it on-topic. I mean, I do fan fics and they point out scenes they like and scenes that could use a bit of work. I also submit fiction to workshops/journals, and if they find something that they're not down with, they have the courtesy to tell me what's up. That's the mature way to handle things. It's the same with the anti-threads. You pick out reasons/things you don't agree with and you articulate why you disagree.

We shouldn't have these kinds of comments on FF at all, IMO.
