I love how he tried so hard to make a good impression at her dad's wedding. It meant so much to him. It's certainly not his best romantic surprise since it didn't go the way he planned, but its the thought that counts, right?

Awww, yeah that was sweet. It's really hard for me to watch that scene. I feel embaressed for him or something. I think it was Mayberry who brought up how eager he was to be accepted by the Kerwins. I think we were talking about how Craig's relationship mistakes sometimes reek of childhood trauma. So I think about that and it just feels so strange for me while I'm watching it. Anyway, the wedding scene totally blew up in his face. Good intentions though, Craiggers.

Oh hey...I don't know if we are going to keep up with the screen caps and dialogue thing, but last night I was working on some icons. While intoxicated. And I saw this pic and was hit with this fake dialogue idea. You have been warned. Had to share though. I came up with this:

Craig: I want to bottle this and get drunk on our love.
Ashley: Get drunk on our love? Oh boy. Little over the top, Craig. How about if we just get drunk period. Might chill you out.
Craig, smiling: Well, okay. Will you take advantage of me?
Ashley: You bet.

I saw what you said about Crash drama being blown out of proportion and I thought I'd mention it over here. Seems like a more appropriate place. I was thinking the same thing too while I was writing about Cranny drama. All of the season 4 drama was created by Craig's bipolar disorder (which was out of everyone's control, doesn't make him at fault for ANYTHING). And it took a toll on their relationship. It's very different from Cranny drama in my opinion.

Oh and not to mention that Crash has had a relationship going off and on for quite some time. Years? Their drama was spread out. Cranny was full on for a couple episodes and drama was almost always present. Cranny had some very serious drama that could compare to Crash's worst moments.

The drama was really spread out. They were perfectly fine from TANE and SISOSIG until Craig couldn't say "I love you" and Ash had hesitations about sex. Season 4 did have ND and VC back to back, but Spin/Marco initiated the drama (if you could even call it that; ND's easy-going compared to the other eps), and of course, the bipolarity was out of their control. I'd hardly call Secret dramatic either. Cranny was like one-night sex then breaking up then abortion. As we pointed out on the Chokers, the only mutual bliss is that moment on the ice rink. They've never been happy at the end of an episode.

If it happens this season, well that's a first.

They make each other momentarily happy, but then they trudge up the drama by themselves. Manny starts the secrecy-- leads up to drama. Craig can't commit to her--leads up to drama. They both have different ideas about the abortion-- leads up to drama. Manny tells Craig he can't talk to Ash--leads to the drama. They light the fuse to almost all their problems.

I don't really consider ND or VC or even Secrets to be Crash drama. Like you said, ND and secrets isn't that dramatic. ND was the band. And the others, it's more like Craig is going through his problems. Ashley is there to witness it and sometimes upsets a sick Craig, but some others were too (we don't call it Craig/Joey drama...then it's bipolar drama). But it really had nothing to do with her at that point. It was about him reacting and adjusting to the disorder. This would have happened if she was around or not.

I agree. We see odd behavior where it's solely based on Craig, like with Snake in the classroom and Joey in the house. If anything, Ash is a calming influence, and I truly liked you guys' point that perhaps Craig is understandably thinking Ash needs to be there to get well. This time alone will allow him to refocus and see that he has more than Ash in his corner. Even if they break up, Ashley will always be there for him because that's how she is. I mean, she was at a standstill with Paige, but when the tough gets going, she was there for Paige just as much as Hazel and Terri.

It's kinda funny how the only way Cranny can happen is if Ashley is entirely out of the way. AWH, there's no Ashley, so Craig has a public relationship with Manny.

And Season 5, Ash is gone so then Craig goes back to Manny. And that's supposed to convince that it's always been Manny how? Even if Crash never gets back together, I'm never going to be convinced of Cranny for that reason. Cranny can't happen unless if Ashley doesn't want Craig. Ash always has to be gone for it to happen.

After watching Holiday, I came up with this reason:

Because Ashley is a one of a kind ramones t-shirt from 1979 that cost Craig $80. Manny is a mass produced fake gold bracelet that he can buy anywhere.

(I think the year was 1979...oh who cares about that)

You really can't trust this reunion because of that simple fact. Why it's believable that Craig would again look at Manny, it's not believable that she was always his first choice or that Craig would get over Ash that fast (since we know this reunion takes place during the first part of the school year). Every other reunion makes sense, but this one...no.

Ash wouldn't take Craig back in AWH anyway. And their little relationship lasted a few days...wha? Some relationship that was. Then surprise, surprise, baby's gone and so is he.

I made an animated one of the kissing scenes like what is seen in #1-4 (the ND kiss). The style looks like #1. I just have to find it...I'll post still jpgs of it as well. That's were #1 came from.

Great avis!! We should replace a couple of the ones on the front page. What'd you guys think? I especially like the ND ones and I've never seen one when they were performing. So I'm snagging that one.

The one where they are performing was from a screen cap, I think. I'm glad you like them.

More on the way sometime soon. Because apparently I have a problem with moderation when it comes to making these. The first time I made avi's, I made about 30 of Craig. Of course this was over the course of a few weeks or so...but still pretty crazy. They were all altered a bunch too. Insanity. For one, I took the screencap of Craig in the bathroom holding his pill in GDTR and made into where he was holding a picture of his father and having this reflection moment.

Anyway, so more on the way. You'll have a lot to pick from.

Love love love the icons!! I saw that one you made with Craig in the bathroom looking at a pic of his dad and it's probably one of the most powerful Degrassi arts I've ever seen!

Oh and just because Craig had a crush on Manny first doesn't mean she was his first choice. Because as soon as he noticed Ashley he wasn't as interested in Manny.
