These two were my favorite friendship on the show...I always thought they balanced each other out well and I loved that they are so different from each other. I'm sad that at the moment they are no longer friends but it won't stay that way for long. I wonder when they will make up though. . . while Clare is still with Jake or after Cake is broken up.

I totally agree with what you guys are saying that they didn't even seem like themselves when they ended their friendship. It was like they had switched roles in the last episode.

And yep, it may take them to late in the season, but I do think we'll see them make up at some point. It's too much of a core friendship on the show right now for them not to.

I get it. Sometimes when you step back from a situation you realize it was all pretty stupid and you need to just get over it. Also based on where Clare has been throughout NoN and some spoilers I really think she's headed towards a big attitude change. The fight/make up with Alli might be the catalyst for that.

But, yeah, my greater point was that even if it takes awhile something will happen with them. You're probably right about it happening soon into the new episodes.

The title of this thread makes me laugh. They're actually two of the "oldies" in the cast now and one of the few friendships with a strong history behind it. I liked their lighthearted scenes earlier this season so I hope we get some more of those.

^ It's so strange! Especially when there's an entire grade level above them. (They need to stop bringing in characters so late into their high school careers.) And yep, they absolutely do need to make sure most of their newbies are in younger grades.

I still don't understand why they never bought in any kids between the Clare/Alli class and the Tori/Maya one, i.e. kids that would be going into Grade 10 when the new episodes start again.

Me neither and it's probably the one thing that I just can't seem to let go of. When they continue on with the gap like that they end up having to backtrack to fill it later on (ie. bringing in new characters as juniors once the Clare/Alli group gets to senior year). They even had some niners with potential. Sure we knew next to nothing about Sadie and Jess but Alexx has a big fan following and Jess was cute enough. I just think it would have made more sense to keep them around and maybe add another middle grade kid instead of heavy loading the upper grades. It would have been the most practical choice. This just speaks to a clear problem the writers have: not thinking ahead.

We did get our reconciliation. I wish we had seen some scene with a conversation or a trigger of sorts pushing Alli into forgiving Clare and giving her another shot. That said, I'm glad they made up. Their falling out had lasted long enough.
