-- Joey/Craig cheated on Caitlin/Ashley with Tessa/Manny and Tessa/Manny got pregnant and had an abortion. The initial incident occured when the guys thought they were broken up with the girlfriends.
-- Caitlin/Ashley cried after losing their virginity to Joey/Craig.
-- Joey/Craig proposed to Caitlin/Ashley, but neither couple got married

Differences
-- Joey's "initial incident" was just a kiss, while Craig's was sex. (It wasn't a movie where they could have time lapses, so they had to hurry it up with C/M.)
-- Joey and Tessa had sex more than once, unlike Craig and Manny.
-- Tessa never found out that Joey was still with Caitlin while he was going out with her.
-- Joey never found out that Tessa got pregnant.
-- Caitlin slept with Joey before she found out about Tessa.
-- Caitlin found out from walking in on an argument between Joey and Snake, while Ashley found out from Manny.

Ironies
-- Spike, who worked with Tessa, and Snake were the two people closest two but outside of the Caitlin/Joey/Tessa triangle. And Emma was the first person to find out about Craig/Manny.

You're entitled to your opinion, hun, but please don't drag the rest of us into it. We've NOT all felt that Emma/Sean is the new Joey/Caitlin. The writers have made a point of using dialogue to bring out the C/J and A/C parallels, something they've never done for E/S. Therefore, I am of the opinion that if the show intends a new Joey/Caitlin, it's Ash/Craig.

Oh yay! Awesome thread! Craig and Ashley are definitley the Caitlin and Joey of the Next Generation. I even told the writers that and they just laughed. I definitley think that in the end Craig and Ashley will be together and although there are some diffrences in the relatioships, I think the similarities point to CrAsh prevailing and to Craig and Ashley being together at the end of the series. I would hate waiting for them like how the Jaitlin fans had to wait for the Next Generation.

IF you dont see the similarites and if you dont agree then please dont come in here. If you are a craig/manny fan and despise anything related to craig/ashley then just dont come in here, if you believe sean/emma are more similar and you dont see the similarites then please dont come in here.

Seriously. Save the Cranny love for the Cranny thread. I'm a Crash fan, but I don't totally hate Craig/Manny.

Not everyone believes Sean/Emma are the Joey/Caitlin of the new series. It's actually difficult for me to see Sean as a Joey figure; that's more J.T.-- the loveable jokester with a heart of gold. Sean reminds me of Rick, the rebel who is somewhat moody with family problems. That doesn't mean I ship J.T./Emma (eww!) but it's how I personally see the characters. I think Aleah raises some excellent points; keep it up!!
