Why can't I tan for once!

The top left of my arm:

The back of my neck:

Another view of my left arm:

That happened yesterday as I was at our annual Air Show. I had SPF30 sunscreen on and I still burned. Just on my left side.

ugh, no fair.

Im so sorry for you! i love tanning but i have like not white not dark skin so it just gets perfect *rolleyes* .Maybe your skin is delicate to sunlight or in other words...to white, so instead of tanning you get sunburns ..you know the red things. But try to use a tanning oil or go to a sunless tan saloon..those are not for me by the way ..mybe itll help you

Eww.. that sucks!! Get some aloe gel! That stuff works wonders on my husbands sunburns!

I just got in from tanning by the pool actually, but I*m lucky cause I *NEVER* burn!

Hope it gets better soon!

I mainly burn if I forget to put on sunscreen. I also have a difficult time tanning.

When I get a tan in the summer, it doesn't completely go away until like......February or March. Hey, but this year it got better. Maybe I wasn't too tanned last summer. So I think it was gone before Christmas.

I'm pretty much the same. I usually avoid the sun because I freckle pretty badly, and I prefer not to have freckles.

Same with me. I avoid the sun alot and I rarely go outside in the sun unless I really need to. My skin is so sensitive to the sun that not even sunblock or tanning oil protects my skin or gives me a sun tan, just a real bad sunburn

I never burn, but lately I haven't been able to get a tan. I could go outside in the burning sun, and come back in as light as I was before I went out.

First day in the sun you almost always burn. Gets better from there.

I only use SPF 4.

I usually use SPF 15, but I try to use SPF 30 if I can.
