What I mean is two things. Did you almost have a different name but one parent didn't like? and if you turned out the opposite gender what would of you been named. For me my Mom planned on naming me Jennifer 10 years before I was even born after a girl she used to babysit. If I were a boy I would of been named Scott I like the name Scott though. My sister's name is Michelle and my picked that name after listening to a Beatles song so my Mom picked Michelle for a girl's name, because of that my father picked Micheal if boy but my Mom didn't like that name, I don't either mainly because its so damn common.

If I was a boy I was going to named Steven after my dad and then they planned to name me Stephanie but went with Danielle instead. Which I am very grateful for!

My father actually wanted to name me Valiant if I had been a boy. Which borders on child abuse.

I was almost Katie. But then my sister was born first, so she got Katie, and I got Karen, for which I'm grateful I'm not sure what our names would have been had we been boys.

No Carlos always worked for my folks. They never told me what my name would be if I was a girl. Hmm I have to ask I guess.

My mother considered naming me Siobhan. And if I had been a boy, I would have been Samuel.

My parents considered naming me Kirsten. Most of my friends say they could see me as a Kirsten.

My mother wanted to call me Johanna. I think she stills has a congrats on the baby-card from her co-workers at the time where it says 'congrats to the arrival of Johanna'.

My father refused though, since he claimed the name didn't fit me. (He was right too. ) In the end, it was my aunt who came up with the name I actually got.

I was going to be called Tracy up until a day before I was born, thankfully my parents changed their minds and called me Hayley instead. If I was a boy I would have been called Liam.

I'd have been called John if I had been a boy, after one of my grandfathers. My mum almost called me Carol, but one of my cousins was already called that.
