Off Topic - What Made You Laugh Today?

I was tending my friend's store today and since it was raining there weren't any customers, so I was reading a book to pass the time. The stories in the book (At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon--really worth reading) were making me laugh out loud.

Probably it was a good thing that no one came in the store and caught me laughing all by myself.

My mother suffered a brain injury a few months back that effected the right side of her body and the speech part of her brain, so she's basically learning to speak again. But anyways, today I was making her lunch and she asked me, "Can I have some bumps?" and I had to laugh

What she really wanted was some grapes.

I met Russell Brand's dad at the pub earlier, and he was making my friends and I giggle. Now some of the things he said is like an inside joke between us.

On the radio, a comparison was made between the latest song by Basshunter (...) and 'Under the Sea' from Little Mermaid

It was almost ridiculous, but oh so fun

That's really sweet. I'll probably always think of grapes as bumps now.

I also have aphasia, and while I have mostly overcome it, I still get the terms "vacuum cleaner" and "lawnmower" mixed up. Thank goodness the guy who cuts my lawn understands when I talk to him about vacuuming the grass.

And that brings me to what made me laugh today: Back when I really had big problems with aphasia, I started listening to WRBH (Radio for the Blind and Print-Handicapped) because I couldn't read, and I still like to listen when to that station while I'm in the car. All of the readers are volunteers so no one expects perfection but I still had to laugh today when some poor clueless volunteer was reading a magazine about Hip Hop that mentioned "Mary Bill-ge" and "Misty Element".

My friend gave me a gift she got from Colombia and somehow the plantains that were on the figurines had fallen off. The way she said it made me laugh.

Bones : interaction between Bones and Booth always makes me. Laugh today.... I am reading a mystery book by M.C. Beaton and some of the sentences are so funny and 'common' that I am usually laughing and re-reading them before I move on
