unless it's a legit breeder, ie someone you know, don't do it. stores are iffy because they are more likely to use puppy mills. shelters, well, my dog jasper was a rescue and he was so abused most of his life, it took years to gain his trust, but it was worth it. you can have the most rewarding relationships with rescues though imo.

I have 14 cats and they are named Spit, Sadie, Smackey, Bella, Lily, Snow White, Ella, Lil Bean, Shadow, Midnight, Cassieopia, Aphrodite, Sad Eyes, Hibbleton. Can you guess which two are the black cats? I also have a lab puppy named Minnie.

It actually came to me named that. But he does have the saddest looking little eyes. He's a sweetie, though.

My dog is Georgia. Named for the state she was born in and the state I plan on moving to. I think it suits her because she's a bully breed mix so she looks and acts very 'masculine' and to me Georgia manages to be both girlie and masculine sounding.

We want camping last week at the lake, and we took our lab with us. She's not quite a year old, and she loved the water! She was a bit hard to keep up with when we were swimming, as she would try to swim out far into the lake, chasing bubbles. She's a sweetheart.
