This is the brief I have;

Topic:Marketing in a selected country.

From a marketing viewpoint, every country has its own special national characteristics. These usually derive from social and cultural differences, a political philosophy, varying distribution channels, legal restrictions and so on. Write a report to examine these characteristics in relation to an industry of your choice in one of the following countries:

Brazil
China
Japan
Nigeria
Russia
USA
Any country in the EU

What are the implications of these characterisics for a British firm embarking on international marketing in your selected country?

SparklyGem, I'd be glad to give you answers on the USA but I was wondering what "industry of choice" you were using? That heavily affects the answers you need.

So...for example, if your industry of choice is food products, then the question is how does a British firm market food products in Brazil and Japan and China...etc? Is that right?
