Velvet Coats...

...are so hard to find. I've been looking for one for the past year and not found one anywhere. Then I saw the perfect one on ebay. Black velvet, 3 quarter and it's corset style at the back. But now it's been bid out of my price range!

So does anyone know if there's anywhere online that I could find one? Or even if there's anyone from Scotland who knows where I can get one here.

Help!

I love velvet. I have clothing that is velvet. I have outfits that are velvet. It's such a soft material.

I'd suggest making your own but velvet is a misery to sew on.

MalloryKeaton - I'm in love with velvet, I have lots of outfits made out if as well, i just love the look of coats/jackets in velvet.

Lemurian - My dad's suggested that I do that. My mom's a tailor/designer type person so she can do that for me but the material itself will cost a bomb and it'll take my mom ages to make, I'd rather just get it from a store if i can. :S

Ooh I love velvet but I rarely see velvet jackets in stores. Good luck finding one.

Something from the store really is better since velvet is a huge pain to sew.

I just remembered seeing some velvet jackets in a clothing catalogue that my mother orders form. I checked their site and they have a variety of velvet blazers and such--Coldwater Creek.

And this is a long shot but there's also a dress that has a lace-up like you describe (and that could possibley be worn as a jacket) at Pyramid Collection--they have some fun clothes there.

Hope this helps.

Oooh! Velvet coat! If I had one, I would spill, like, coffee and ketchup on it the first day I'd wear it. I'm so clumsy with delicate stuff
Hope you can find the one you're looking for. Keep searching EBay and tell us if you find anything interesting
