Glad you are enjoying the snow, Carol!

Theresa, yeah, I will be able to save alot of money for the future! Also will be able to set aside funds for future trips when we can travel again.

I'm more of a french toast person! There must be a French toast day somewhere!

So it's back to your previous living arrangements then, Leanne? I'm glad you're not living with someone you can't get on with again.

Glad you're enjoying the snow, Carol!

I never have pancakes, except on Pancake Day!

I actually got around to doing housework today.

At least you still have your own space, and there's a certain level of comfort Jon's been living at my folks since November due to covid but we have his computer and stuff in our room and we use the kitchen at different times to try and give my folks some time to themselves. For the most part, its been fine, but i expect he can move back in March when things hopefully relax.

Oh yeah, I’ll have a gas fireplace in winter and air conditioning again for summer, plus soft carpet. My apartment here has no carpet.
Ever since I lost the trees out my window here, it hasn’t been as perfect.

So I guess its not too bad. I just hope my brother knows how much I’ve had to go through cause of his bad choices and we all have had to move around a lot cause of him

It sounds like you are coping with the living arrangements, Theresa. When the the first lockdown started we said that all of us needed our own space, for when we need it, and it all worked out well in the end.

I'm glad you're happy about it, Leanne.

Loads of banks around here are shut, and we spent ages trying to find an open branch, and failed. Still I got some work done today, anyway.

Hello friends!!!

This pandemic is lasting much longer than I ever expected!!! No fun needing to wear masks out in public all the time. For a while, I had an open sore on the right side of my nose from constantly needing to readjust my mask. I have a small nose and even wearing the KN95 masks with the metal part you can fold/pinch for better fit on one's nose, it would still constantly fall. When wearing my glasses and have the top of my mask tucked under the nose piece, There would be other problems.. Sometimes, fogging up of the glasses or, the nose piece sliding down my nose...again because of my small nose!!! Enough "talking" about mask problems.

Wow, a lot going on with each of you. Hard to believe how much our lives have changed since the pandemic. All the places that are closed or should be closed. All the schools that are online, etc!!!

Yesterday I saw my newest specialist....the kidney specialist. And usual, am ask if a family member has ever had...and I say the usual..."I don't know. I was adopted and they didn't keep medical records in the late 1950's. Also said, I do know my mom was Danish. Have no knowledge what nationality my dad was. I am a result of a love affair she had. Her marriage wasn't going well and found "love" elsewhere. She didn't let my dad know she was pregnant. She was going through a divorce when she went to an adoption agency. She met with who I knew as mom and dad. Because they had been married ten years already and adopted a boy three years earlier, she felt I would be placed in a stable home" Because my kidney function showed improvement a month ago, he ordered more labs and last night both blood and urine show even more kidney function which is a miracle since I am in stage 3 kidney disease. Because of this, now I can finally schedule surgery for my right shoulder!!! Been waiting 6 months!!!

Again another novel....that is what happens when I don't post often.

Claire and Leanne: Its so important to have your own space, especially with the pandemic. Sometimes when i've had it hard with my parents, it helps to just get some down time with Jon.

My birthday is coming up and people have asked what I want and stuff, I don't even think there is much I can do to celebrate Maybe a nice takeaway, not sure.

A takeaway is a good idea, Theresa. Yes having your own space is very important.

It will end eventually, Karen. Hang in there!

I did some more work today, nice to feel productive.

A quick hello

We are staying warm, and we still have snow. I think some of it will melt today.

Been a busy week trying to keep the pipes from bursting and outside critters warm.

Ugh, its like why when there is a pandemic, there also has to be disaster level winter breakdowns as well, as if things aren't tough enough!

Yeah, a takeaway of favorite is a good birthday treat!

Karen, think you can get a kidney transplant?

When I move back in, I anticipate I won't really be hanging with the 'rents during the pandemic when we aren't yet vaccinated. The only thing they can come down for is dinner and laundry and they can wear a mask in those short times so I won't mix with them since I still work at schools during this thing!!

That's a good idea Leanne about the masks. My entire family have had covid so we don't need to do that fortunately. Plus my parents have had the vaccine now

Yeah my parents and parents in law have been vaccinated now, so that's not so much of a worry anymore.

Glad you're doing okay, Carol!

Do you think they will have been vaccinated by then though, Leanne? All high risk groups are due to be done by the end of April here.

I went for a walk in the fields today, it's a nice sunny day, and it wasn't too muddy!

Yeah it was nice to have the sun out! We went to town and got some sushi and ate in the park! A bit of normality, I should have taken photos but never mind, a lovely day out

That sounds like a nice time, Theresa.

Today I had sushi, and had a routine covid test (negative).
