Claire I'm glad you finally got it filled.

One cavity as a teenager isn't bad for your daughter. I have so many fillings now, but I grew up in a rural area with well-water, not a city water system with fluriode added to help prevent cavities, so the dentist said the cavities I have are typical for someone who didn't have extra fluride as a child.

I didn't have a filling until I was 21. But I guess it can't be helped...

^I'd never considered that as a factor, it shows how much it helps though.

You guys have pretty good teeth in your family, Claire! Getting to teenage or young adulthood without cavities or fillings is pretty good. (I had a tooth pulled by age 8 and I scared out the waiting room with my dramatic screaming )

That sounds really scary, Leanne! I do have good teeth, I rarely need anything done, and have never had anything major done. One thing in my favour for sure!

That's great! I might have done but I won a huge bar of chocolate when I was at University, and that caused a number of cavities!

Well so far thanks, Carol. We spent most of the day putting up Christmas decorations. This gets more complex every year as we buy more lights to put up.

I found it a strain with my back still feeling fairly weak right now, but I think I got away without hurting myself again.

Claire so do you decorate the outside of your house with lights?

I live in a rural area, on a dead-end road, so we don't put up outside lights. But the inside of my house is festive for sure!

We have started to use outdoor lights in the past couple of years. Lots of people around here do too, but the majority don't. We have a string of icicle lights above the front door, and colourful lights along our fence, and some in one of the trees.

I don't do an awful lot indoors, it's mainly the tree, and hanging tinsel on pictures in the living room.

I love Christmas lights outdoors! Or I love to see them.

Hoping to be rather lazy today. We ran to town extra early this morning so Tommy could pick out the blower he wanted for Christmas. We were back home by 10am. With Covid, we are trying to avoid crowds.

Now I have to find a way to wrap it. We ended up getting up blower/weedeater combo, so it's a big box. I don't have any wrapping paper wide enough

I don't have Christmas outdoor lights for my balcony in my apartment!

My mom gave me some Christmas baking and treats though which was nice of her. Makes it feel more holiday-ish to have a sugar cookie now and then!

Today at work the kids get a pancake breakfast, lucky them!

I don't blame you for wanting to avoid crowds, Carol.

Those sound nice, Leanne.

I went to the chiropractor today he says my back muscles are causing the problem and I need to make sure I don't overwork them.

I wonder why your back likes to act up, Claire?

I'm just watching old Christmas commercials from the 80's and 90's on youtube while I'm at work, trying to think of what to do since there isn't much to do today.

I'm pretty much ready for Christmas, although not sure what that day will be like for sure!

I think it is years of not treating my back properly, Leanne. This is forcing me to not bend over or sit in bad positions, or pick up heavy weights! I think it's also partly due to some car accidents I've been in too.

I still have more presents to wrap. Going to try and do that today...

Doing some computer work right now, but I'm going to clean the bathroom too. Not the bath though, learnt my lesson there!

I am so very sorry to hear this. Covid affects everyone so differently, but the older population has been the hardest. I am so very sorry for your loss. Words aren't adequate. My sincerest condolences.
