I'm glad you got some sleep I didn't sleep much but rested and listened to music. I got up and my son helped me finish loading the dish washer then start it. One of his favourite activities!!!

ah I hate doing the dishes I procrastinate on it a lot even we have a dishwasher. I think it's because I'm really the only one who does them.

We use a lot of paper plates, plastic cups and heavy duty plastic utensils. On days we are busy. We are able to reuse for ourselves the same day the thick wax covered plates if we want. And reuse the same plastic ware for ourselves each day so we aren't too wasteful. My daughter does her own dishes when she makes/cooks for herself. My husband takes care of most of his own meals except holidays. I don't like beginning the process of washing dishes. Since my son enjoys starting the dishwasher so much, I am not alone in the kitchen when items need rinsing or pre-scrubbing before putting into the dishwasher!!!
i then hand him the items and rarely do I need to guide his hand to place things elsewhere!!! So, he helps me keep up with the dishes when not in too much pain. My oval large crock pot ceramic part and lid finished filling the dishwasher tonight. After the last item is in and I say "OK time for the soap packet", he gets it out of the cupboard and carefully places it on the bottom of the dishwasher. He closes it. I make sure the door is pushed closed all the way, he locks it. He then correctly pushes the correct button. He looks, waiting for the red light to come on, hears the water noise....knowing he was successful in starting the dishwasher once again!!!...Makes eye contact with me, gives me a big grin & claps his hands and giggles like a young boy. It gives me great Joy, Contentment and Satisfaction that this activity we have been doing off and on for about 23 1/2 years brings him such pleasure...He use to unload the dishwasher....then he got confused and began to empty dirty dishes independently and put clean dishes in partially emptied dishwasher. Now he helps just with loading.

that's great that you have at least someone in there somewhat helping you with that. I wish we used more paper plates and plastic silverware and all that it'd be make it so much easier for me, but we don't.

How you like my new icon?
